rwhp doesn't not equal ET unfortunately. There are lots of other things involved, raceweight being one of them. I'm talking about what actually happens at the track...not bench racing.
Granted, there are '03 Cobras that are bone stock running mid 12's. Like I said before, I'm not knocking them. But you said it's a fact that no stock ls1 can be a stock '03 cobra. That is not true.

It's a welcome change to have two people actually discuss and voice differences of opinions without getting pissed off though.

Well, I'm sure you have way more experience than I do in this area, so I'll edit my previous comment. "4 out of 5 times the Cobra will win" There's always that 1 factory freak

I'm not I'm just going off personal experience. Every 03 Cobra I've gone up against has put me on the ground...hard. I know what you are saying about that not being the only factor.

camaro-ls1....face it stock for stock the 03 cobra is faster....why is that so hard to take.

btw...before you bring it up ,yes before the 03 the ls1 was faster...stock for stock that is.i can take it.

I can and I do accept the fact the Cobras are faster. That doesn't necessarily mean they will win a race though. From my personal experience, I've seen many new Cobras get owned at the track by very lightly modded ls1's.

BTW, I beat an '02 Z06 at the track with my slightly modified (lid & catback) Z28.

The car I'm talking about was just sold (last few weeks) and was purchased new by UPR in 1995. I'm sure of the race weight and almost everything else someone might ask about it because I used to work there. Of course it's not stock, btw. It's hard to imagine over 1200rwhp in any Mustang even looking stock.

Yeah, it is about time Ford has finally put something in production to beat LS1's in stock form. Futhermore, they had to Supercharge both the 03 Cobra's and Lightning's because N/A they don't stand a chance. The Lightning wouldn't be as fast as one of those GMC Trucks with the 5.3 liter engine. All I can say is the Cobra ought to be fast with a durn Supercharger. Supercharge a stock LS1 and see what the outcome would be!!!!!!!!! Also, those Mach1 Mustang's will have their A$$ handed to them when they come out to. THE LS1 CAR IS SECOND TO NONE. that is too funny I love it old blue... FACT the 03 Cobra is fast and a nice car for stock. However It not so nice when you look at the price for the Cobra compared to the camaro. then lets take about cost of mods to make both cars go 10.sec in the 1/4 mile. It is the same as comparing the ZO6 with the Viper 24k price differance and the Z06 is fast at autox and only slower by .5sec in the 1/4. So for the price look what you get. The cobra is what 370hp and a camaro is 320-375hp. for the cash we save can buy NOS,SuperCharger, H/C and then what.

What do you have it the drive train? I am whating to see a stall. Your trap speed looks a little low for the 1/4 time. It is posible but you have to have some drive train stuff done.
