I have a 2000 SS with a few bolt-ons and a 2003 ZO6 all stock. I saw this kid driving around in a '03 Cobra and he was hot ******* it around quite a bit from what I witnessed. I pulled up to a light behind him and when it went green he punched it. Immediately he pulled ahead of the other line of cars and I pulled alongside him. He took one look at me and then TRIED to take off. As it turns out all he got to see was my rear end. I thought that these new Cobras were going to be faster, but it didn't seem much faster than my fairly modest SS.

Let'em come in their American ricers. If I come across one that I have trouble with, then it will call for the next step, my new toy, hopefully to come in the spring.

Dude, I like and respect both of your cars; the Z06 especially. Why in the hell do you call the 2003 Cobra an American ricer? What the hell is wrong with you? You just got lucky that you ran across some kid in a stock '03 Cobra who didn't know how to drive. Wait until you see a slightly modded '03 Cobra, or even a heavily modded Cobra with a seasoned driver. Then the so called "American Ricer" will hand you your ***. Dollar for dollar in mods you can make an '03 Cobra faster than any Z06.

 

First off, SSpeed, I did not beat the Cobra in my SS, and second; My son is just now getting to be interested in a new Cobra. Now granted I have said some harsh things about it when I really don't know much about the Cobra, but I strongly believe in keeping a car stock, and how it comes off of the showroom floor is how I want it and also how I compare it to its opposition. I do know for a fact that the new Cobra is a fast car, but the ZO6 is a VERY fast car. I am not going to say that my ZO6 will be faster than every car I come up against, but up to this point, it has been.

On a side note, the ZO6 will only be with me for a short period because in the spring I hope to take delivery on a new toy that will make the ZO6 look like a pow-pow-powerwheel.

since the boost is adjusted by the pully, a chip + pully can give you 100 rwhp with tuning. If you wanna call that little..
yuh a z06 on spray will run it...but its still on n02 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
