I rev to 9500Rpms.
I have to upgrade the valvetrain with Titanium retainers and Dual Valve springs.
The stock redline for my motor is 8000,but when I first got the swap I was using the SOHC program in my Ecu and redline was only 7600.
The car in that state ran a 14.7@92.75.I didnt even have so much as a filter as a mod.
Vtec is cool.Under 6000 rpm's it sounds cool,my cams have more power and low end grunt than the stock ones,They are from a Jap Integra Type R.At 6000(In my car),If the oil pressure is right,among other things the Vtec will engage thus switching over to the "Big" Cam.
This cam is the wild one,Believe it or not they are about the 4th most mild Cams there are.
On a side note,I was just on the GSP(again)No more than 10 minutes ago and a SN95 Black Cobra pulled next to me and showed me his stuff.
I am the type of guy that will completely ignore a ricer that pulls up next to me and revs or wants me to roll down my window,But when a worthy race comes up and if and only if they innitiate it I will race.
I mean dont you hate it when people pull up and rev and you dont wanna race
Anyway I "Quietly" downshifted into 4th and kept it at about 5900,right before Vtec changeover.He was in the left lane,I was in the lane next to him,cars were in front of both of us and he kept hitting the gas and gunning it up to the bumper in front of him.
I didnt flinch,I got over and went around the car in front of me and just quietly kept it at 5900,the lane next to me was open so sure enough the Cobra started getting over.
My car is so quiet when I am not hard on it and so loud when I am.So the Mustang was bout 4 cars back,I could tell he was in a low gear because I could hear him(Sounded so awesome).
I look in my mirror he is about 2 cars back and coming,I heard him gun it,I gunned it and I had 6 car lengths by the time I hit 9500 in 4th.Now from 6000 rpm's to 9500 rpms I beat him that bad.
He cannot take me off the line because I pulled a best of a 2.151 60' When I was stock!!!.Stock meaning stock w/Motor Swap.The swap I had before this was a SOHC VTEC which ran 15.8@89 Stock,Before it blew on my birthday.

My car is making roughly 205 FLYWHEEL HP and weighs 2030.
If you divide the weight by the hp ypu get the Power to Weight Ratio or Lbs per HP if you will.
My lbs per Horsepower is 9.902.
A Ws6 makes 325 hp and Im gonna say weighs 3450??
That would make the Lbs per HP for a STOCK WS6:
10.615.The lower the better,So as you can see my clear advantage.
Now for 2500$usd I am going to add an intercooled Rev hard kit pushing 9lbs of boost with an Hks blow off valve and a Tial wastgate(Thats what it comes with,Im gonna install it myself).That is going to put my crank hp at about 365 and add about 70 lbs.Putting my Power to weight ratio at,Drum roll. . .5.753,And hopeful low 11's with slicks.

While I can truly appreciate your efforts and the amount of work you put into that Civic, but I still don't like wrong-wheel-drive *performance* cars.
Your story sounds legit to me. I've got an aquaintance with a high 11 Civic that isn't all riced out looking. He sunk $20K into modifying that car though, but it looks decent.
BTW, I'm an equal opportunity racer. I'll race just about anyone that thinks they are fast or sporty when I'm out cruising around.

I also find it hard to believe you put 6 cars on a cobra from 5900-9500 rpm....unless it takes 5 sec to accelerate to 9500 rpm and the cobra was at a standstill.

Say your car weighs 2025 and it's making 340 horse to the front wheels then THAT would be something to brag about.
