Bmw Z3? I think this is kind of funny. A friend of mine just bought a 1999 Z3 4cyl & he told me that if I roll up beside him at 120 mph he would take me. I'm like Bullshit. Then he says his girlfriend is going to get a Z4 and hers would take me too. I don't think so , but does anyone know how these cars run?
i dont know what year were talkin but the best 1999 z3 besides the M series only had 194hp so ure fine
the z4 with the 3.0 had 225hp and 214 ft lbs
weighin in at 2998

Did I read that wrong, or did he say he wants to start the race at 120 mph? Or does he want to race you up to 120 mph? Either way he's crazy. Maybe he's counting on his speed limiter not kicking in until after yours.

I've got a 98 with a 2.8 (189 hp) . It's a lot of fun in the curves and to mess with ricers but I wouldn't seriously jump a stock ls1 or a modded lt1,not unless i just want a view of the tailights getting smaller. But i'll jump on anything ( pinto to exotic) just to get a rush!

Uhh, the little 4banger Z3's were only capable of 116 m.p.h., so I dunno where this dork is getting 120 from. Their 1.9L engines only produced 140 h.p. and 133 lb-ft of torque. They ran the 1/4 in low 16's and did 60 in just over 8 seconds. Now whether he can get his to run quicker than those magazine and website times or not, it won't matter enough because he's still only capable of a proven 116 m.p.h. top speed.
Now yes, in '01 the Z3's got a little makeover and the engine was bumped up to 2.3L for the base 4banger, but this guy's is a '99, so none of that matters.
Tell this guy you'll race him from 120 m.p.h. anyday.
