So my buddy has a little ricer which he thinks is the fastest thing in the world, i actually gotta admit it is one of the "faster" rockets i have seen. anyway, he cant seem to understand that he wont win in a 1/4 race. so last night he wanted to race me from a highway roll, i figured he would have a much better chance on the roll (being lighter and being a manuel) so we go from a 50mph roll. 3 honks and we we off... he takes an early jump downshifting like i knew he probably would, so after the roll takeoff i was at his back fender. from there it was all about realing him in, i started at the back of his car and just kept slowly kreaping up, finnaly edging him out as we hit traffic and had to slow down. (race went to about 100-110) pretti good race, i thought it was hilarious that i had the bigass fullsize truck and i was pulling topend hehe.

How do you know it was a gsr? I doubt you could pull a stock gsr in your truck, unless it was a lightning maybe a rt-10. Gsr's run low 15's stock.

Just a FYI, there have been STOCK 5.3L reg. cab trucks in the high 14's.(Most are in the low 15's though) I think Thunder has a 4.8L which can also break into the high 14's with minimal mods.(which he has <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )

yes it is a gsr. i have two freinds with integras, one has a gsr and the other has an ls, two different looking motors. plus, the gsr makes that annoying vtec sound in high rpms <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . but yes it is pretti fast for a rocket, he only has intake and exaust. i have a 4.8 with 4.10s, intake, headers, exaust, hpp3, etc, the usual. btw, where did u hear the gsr was low 15s stock!?

THUNDER2k1 just wondering how you could say a vtec is annoying sounding. dont get me wrong i have a ls1 with LT,loudmouth and get much more pumped up hearing that than my lude <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> ,but hearing a vtech kick in at 5600 and scream to 8000 is a very nice and destictive sound.even better with an intake.listen to an s2000 wind up to 9000 and say that sounds shitty. oh and by the way stock GSRs can and will pull low 15s all day if driven and shifted right. ive seen TYPE Rs run high 14s bone stock.my bolt on lude has run 15 flat and it weighs close to 3000lbs much more than a gsr.
