those boats are fast.no way any stock ls1 is beating them.i heard they pull like a stock z06 from a hwy. roll.

quite a few boltons will be needed to beat these things.

Dal1as, I don't doubt that he beat him but initially i thought he was stock, and a stock Camaro would never beat a new E55 and even a modded one would strugle a bit taking it. Those benzes have a lot of torque and in straight line are killers. As a matter of fact the guy that owns that new E55 happened to be my neighboor and we had a lil chat last saturday. He said that was his first little race since he got the car couple of weeks ago (killing my S4 off a traffic light with a few cars distance) and in a boldly way he said there isn't enough competitors out there for that car. I wish i had my dream car (GT2) to show him but can't afford it yet By the way I noticed you live in MD and seems you've got some serious mods to ur WS6 and will most prolly smoke him. We're at Rockville area in MD so if ur close by and want to go for a little run let me know so i can arrange with him.

If anyone wants to race my bone stock 2004 E55 just for fun, I'm up for it.

I used to own a 99 Viper GTS and this E55 is faster than the GTS was......

Holy Sh*t man! I'm getting my ***** busted for a post that's 16 months old? Ha! I love it!

Anyway, I had to re-read my original post to even remember what the h*ll this was. I was putting down 367rwhp, so with an automatic and a 3200 Vig. convertor...what's that equate to? 440 at the crank or so? That's in the ballpark of the MB and I'm definitely lighter and he also had a passenger if I remember correctly...although that was a h*ll of a long time ago.

That's the way the whole thing happened though. No revisionist history here.

No problem. I wouldn't call them serious mods. I'm looking for a 12.4 at the track later this summer. Hopefully a 12.2. 11's won't come till I do the cam. Probably a 220 or 224. Nothing radical. I do get some awesome traction with the GS-D3's though. I live towards Ft Meade so knowing that your neighbor and I would probably just run neck and neck it probably wouldn't be worth it. He'll get his though. Plenty of fast cars your way.

I'd love to have an E-55 AMG. It's an awesome car. Stock for stock there isn't much that will out run it in it's price range (new)

I actually ran I brand new SL55 AMG today. I have since added 62 horse to my car since I ran that 12.9. I am at 296 to the wheels now. I will tell you what I was glad about the tuning because I ran with this guy from a dead stop to 130mph on a deserted road. I stayed even until 120 then he pulled about half a car on me. I looked it up 493 hp and 516 lbs/ft. torque. This car was no joke and the best race I have ever had. I think he was surprised I hung with him. Seemed cool though, gave the thumbs up. Through the quarter we would have been even, after that his torque and power took over. Was awesome though.
