Fun night Anyways...
Ran into a Mustang tonight after I got out of dinner, I've seen this guy before and ran him before, same story different day. He now has a new cam in it. Nothing special, but a 5.0L with gears, cam and no cats. Anyways with a basically stock LS1 with a euchred clutch I took him every time, but the funny thing is he wanted to do a 2nd gear pull and I had it in 4th and still pulled him. The best one was the last one, gave him a fender and had 3 cars on him at 120mph. Still want that new clutch, but it's in the mail.
O.k. now on to the good part. My buddy who was with me has a pretty fast head cam LT1 (108-112 in the 1/4, somewhere in there) So I dropped him off at the shop and we were going to meet at my house to change so we can go out. Well we had a red light that leads onto the highway, it changed we took off. He had a shitty launch do to some bad wheel hop. Next thing you know we slow down and a car catches us. My radar detector is going off, I'm like WTF. Then lights and since he's in back I'm like man now he's screwed. Well guess what, the guy lets him pull into the other lane and then goes for me. Nice cop considering the circumstances, but I said I didn't know him and he just gave me a lecture. Anyways. Good story, and I got out of that one.
Moral: If you get caught don't NARC the other guy, nobody needs 2 guys in trouble for the same thing.
TTYL, I gotta go out and have a beer to calm down.
