lol, some pretty non drivers. A stock ls1 puts down 50-60hp more than a stock lt1.

not much, full exhaust, headers and a cam with an intake make more than that. Something is wrong with the car.

I ran 13.7 with my auto LT1 and 2.73s with a tuner and a flowmaster muffler with traction problems. Intake and MAS, and the free mods, i'm expecting low 13s.

Now a cam and headers, something is no doubt wrong. Not saying you didn't win, something's wrong with the car, or he's lying about his mods.

When i had my 97 m6 with cc305, hooker longtubes and other boltons i pulled several stock/exhaust ls1's on the highway, usually let out 115-120 still pulling. However, these were stock or had just exhaust and intake. Im not calling b.s. on you, im just saying something sounds wrong with his car.

Anything can happen on the street, the LT1 should have won on paper. But it sounds like you have a good running LS1. Nice kill.

my friends mustang gt that runs 14.40 in the 1/4 stayed at the lt1's door when they ran, every time we go to the local hang out he wants to race me in his gt, and i always blow him away, i gave him a 3 car lead and i still spanked him, but i haven't seen the lt1 yet for the rematch

Sounds like something is definitely wrong. His car definitely has problems.

My buddies LT1 had midlength headers, CAI, Flowmaster catback, All Free Mods, and a new Opti. My 1999 Z was stock except for 315 nitto drags and we went from a Dig many times (KILLED Him) from a 10 MPh roll, 20, 25, 30, 35, it just got worse the higher roll we went. Sure, his car maybe had something wrong w/ it (didn't seem to)but that is not the only LT1 I have ran into and even w/ mild bolt ons, I have never seen a Lt1 come close. Just my experiences I have had w/ Lt1's. I also used to own a 1994 Lt1 w/ bolt ons and was never satisfied. Both cars were 6-speeds w/ 3.42s.

As with an LS1, a cam completely changes the nature of the beast. A cammed LT1 is not a bolt-on LT1.
