Lol this is a pissing contest now.

Okay, one final statement then I'm done.

They're both nice engines, and it's, in my opinion, personal preference.

I didn't have much money, and wanted a great looking car, that also had the potential to be VERY fast when I got some money.

I got what I was looking for. Plans for this summer include an LE1 cam with fully ported (272 peak flow) LT1 casting heads. Also all supporting mods.

(And to a poster above, the ta not being my only car comment was put in there because I said "alot of the LS1s aren't even out of the 13's" and didn't want someone to say "you aren't either." Like I said, the TA isn't my only car, my other one is a LOT faster.)

The LT1s being quicker down low and from a dig is a MYTH.

Well the guy that posted that over there is a idiot. 325lbs @ 2,2k v.s. 345lbs @ 3,4kish. In a stoplight race it's very possible that a properly driven LT1 will be out a nose or at least even with a LS1.

I always got a jump on LS1's from a dig. Maybe half a car then after that...

My LT1 engine was more durable than the LS1 (It did NOT use any oil and went 170K miles when i sold it and at that point dropped NO fluids on my white driveway for 6 months...ever since it was parked there. Also, it did not rattle, smoke, anything, just dead nuts reliable.) 0-50 I could take MILDLY modded LS1's (i had a 2.73 A4 95 LT1 TA) 50+ mph, forget it, the LS1 PULLED. And that...is my impression of one vs the other.
