Not me, when I had similar toys, I played with them. I know a few guys with BIG BOY TOYS and they like to play in the dirt too.

Take for instance original Buick GNXs, 427 tri-power Corvettes, LS6 454 Chevelles, Hemi Cudas, etc. Are they great cars, hell yes. Are they rare as hell? Yes again. Do almost ALL of the owners have one thing in common? I would guess yes: that they want to park them and not beat on them so they will not lose value. Maybe I'm wrong, but every one of the cars I just mentioned I have jpersonally seen that weren't total basked cases were pampered garage queens that would never see the dragstrip, let alone doing some illegal street racing. If it's true, then kudos on a great find and good luck.
hmmm, makes sense.......

But I know a couple that run original gnx's. Major work done. 9.9s-low 10s, lol. He doesn't all the time but he does run it at the track, once in a while.

There were 124 GT 40's built between 1964-1966, and this guy has two? Right. It's possible he does, but unlikely, maybe a replica? Or maybe this whole thing is total

MANY people will claim something is an original when it isn't. If it's a kit, that would make total sense why he would be modding it, driving it daily, and racing it.

Also, if he wants you to race the "fast one" which he hasn't told you the specs/mods, why is everyone comparing stock wieghts/power? I mean a completely built motor with a big shot of nitrous could walk your car on the street. Remember, he is probably lighter, and rear engine. No matter how you look at it, he has more hook up potential than you. I mean, you said you can't get your power to the ground at 70 - so what good is all that power at that speed or any lower? See what I mean? You might as well have less power - cause you'd run the same at anything lower than 70. If you can't floor it without breaking the tires loose, then peak HP means nothing.

I still think it'd be a really good race - I'm just saying that we really can't tell ANYTHING without knowing what the other guy is actually running. Heck, he may be on full slicks. With less weight, rear engine, and who know what motor/power - how can you say anything about that race? The only thing that CAN be said is it would be two bad *** cars that definatly need to be on tape

Also, you have a 1998 Z28, right? I just looked at your other posts to see if I could answer that question (since more than 1 person asked.)

This guy hasn't responded since 6/25. I'm thinking he might be a dreamer who made up the car in his sig (and we still don't even know what that car is) and making up BS stories. Maybe I'm wrong, and my apologies if I am, but thats the impression I'm getting.

I am now voting that he made the whole thing up. You would think that a guy with an engine as beastly as he claimed his was would at least have a few pics of it, right? Oh well. Would have been a nice race anyways.

im calling bs on this too but what did it for me is i remember him saying he did all the work to his car with a buddy of his and now he said something about the guy that did the exhaust work on both of their cars told the guy in the gt40 what his car was like.

seems like a guy that does the work himself should at least do his own exhaust

I saw the BS flag like 70 post ago......just wanted to be nice

Enough is enough
On 5-27-2005 https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/328159-going-new-setup.html this Cat was asking about a combo he was considering ...something like a Forged 348 with a STS. Next thing you know he has a 765RWHP car on 6-6-2005 https://ls1tech.com/forums/street-racing-kill-stories/332820-me-vs-nissan-240sx.html So in 2 weeks he purchased everything, installed it and Dyno'd it.............Wow I need his resources. And he is a cop, with a military (medical) discharge...that pays all his bills, so his cop salary is extra income for toys...........BS! I was medically discharged....the only way you receive any kind of real money from a MED SEP is if your not capable of working.

I kinda feel sorry for the guy that he needs to make up this dreamworld. Ya notice how this also happened on the way to the "gym"...and he was in the military....and a cop....and has an 800rwhp car that he built himself etc etc. Sounds like a really bad case of "macho macho man....I want to be a macho man"
