This guy I know just got a new 50. He said it's stock and he wants to race me for $50...I'm thinkin to myself that this guy is an idiot for thinking he can smoke me with a stock 50. Should I bet this guy or do you think he has a lil surprise for me. It doesn't even sound/look good. I don't think he knows to much about cars or atleast about the LS1's

 

what year 5.0 did he pick up?

 

What year is it? is it an LX? GT? Cobra? 5sp? auto? Vert? Either way, any of the stock 87-95 5.0's are considerably slower than a stock LS1. The real question is if he is willing to bet $50 is he just a moron or does he have something up his sleeve...no way we could know that...

Uh, the 89-93's can be pretty quick. You will most likely whip the **** out of him(assuming it's stock), but refer to post #4.
