Nice kills on the srt-4's. They are quick cars though stock and pretty easy to mod. There is a woman in my area who has a low 11 second srt-4 (might be high 10's now for all i know) and it is damn fast. I would still prefer an f-body to mod but srt-4's arent a bad starting point. Can get them for 20K new and they have great potential, just gotta be a fan of sports compacts. I almost bought one like a month ago but couldnt fit in it (im 6'8 240 pounds), but its probably a good thing because now that I think of it I would have looked like I was getting out of a clown car at my size in that sized car haha.

 

geico wants to charge me 269 a month...its alittle more than i wana spend but its gonna be worth it to finally have an LS1....i sold my built turboed hatch back for an ls1 and i know its the right choice.....after riding in a bunch of z28's and SS's i know ill have fun

 

i was looking at SRT's but its a freaking me too car (hey you have a srt?!? me too!!!) so i said forget that.....they arnt bad cars but in my eyes its still a neon (dodge is even too cheap to put power windows in the back....roll windows own i guess lol

at the local auto-x events theres an old school camaro that TEARS **** up and is really, really good at it. As long as you have a good suspension set up and its set up for auto-x or road racing it doesnt matter what you drive you can be good at it with enough practice

 

I'm sure that there is a lot of FWHP cars down there... but on the stock bottom end on an SRT-4, 450-500FWHP cars are not wondering if they are going to break... its when.... I dont argue that there are guys running around with that kind of power with no problems, and in general its not a problem of tuning, its a problem of the stock internals holding up.

 

the stock srt motor is designed for boost....if the motor is making 450whp and has a decent tune it can last for ever. (for ex. my friend pablos SRT....450whp and is daily driven to work, school etc; and him and his boss at the shop use to take the car to the track once a week). If a car has a good tune i wouldnt be worried about the engine failing....hell a completely stock engine can fail.....if my engine is gonna fail id want it to fail when im making sick power so i can look back and say "damn that was fun" lmao
