Awsome vid as always from 2000whitess.
I don't know what went wrong, but the HP/LB ratio doesn't add up one bit there, lol.
I know that SS is a beast but he's making on gas what that Vette should be making NA...

01 SS with a big cam and a 200 shot, car makes 602 rwhp. The Z06 has longtubes and either 100 shot or a 150 shot, nobody has said for sure. He said he hurt the car on the second race and that it's down a cylinder. The 01 SS said his nitrous didnt hit right on the first race but I have seen him say that in other videos.

Yea, that clarifies a little. I thought that the SS was more around 550ish to the wheels. The Vette "should" be around 500 NA I would think if it was tuned and everything. That would make it 6-650 depending on the shot, and it weighs quite a bit less, but that's all irrelevent if there were problems on either side...

hmmmm.....that SS is a BEAST......I was full expecting the Z06 to walk his *** tho.....that damn thing traps 125-127 bone stock...id put it close to 135-137mph with a 100 shot....oh well, BADASS race tho! And GOOD LORD.....the Z06s JUST came out! there is some hardcore m'effers out there if someones ALREADY got a kit and longtubes on the thing.

Well, a C6 Z06 w/LT's is right around 500rwhp, add a 100 shot to that and they are prtty even in the power department. Now the C6 should weigh quite a bit less, and also have better aero's. So my guess is that vette was definitely down a cylinder or that SS has been lightened quite a bit.
Damn, can you imagine riding around in a C6 Z06 w/LT's and a 100 shot and actually losing a race on the highway. I know I'd feel pretty much invincible. Just goes to prove the point, theres always somebody faster. Realistically though most people driving around something that fast will almost never run into something faster in just day to day driving.

lg motorsports just put their long tubes on a C6Z and it made 493-496 with a tune and redline fluids. built 402ci with a 200 shot will beat 95% of most cars it comes across and costs maybe 10 grand for a solid setup vs 66k+20k mark up on a C6Z. i spoke to a guy locally his dad paid 110k to have one of the first 100 C6 Z06's and his wont be here until the end of Nov. the person that has that new Z06 works for or is affiliated with GM, im sure he wasnt expecting to lose... nice vid though. im not conviced to "upgrade" and buy a new one. i did buy a new LS2 bare block for an up and coming 402ci swap!!!
