I am changing my vote to the mustang GT because the power the two cars have is close and even though the LS1 has more under the curve, the GT has 4.10's to help it get to the right part of its power curve and once it gets there, it will be easier to keep there b/c its a 5-speed. The GT is prolly in the 270-290 rwhp range. It is probably withing 20rwhp of the ls1 and weighs about 1-200# less. That means hp/weight they should be identical with the GT having better gears/tires. I think the GT will win this one. Not by much, but im changing my opinion and having to say the GT has better odds if the guy can drive. If not, i give it to the A4 ls1

we are talking 410 gears in the stang and i think my ss has 373 s is that much of a difference he does have 18inch rims and it was a dog from a dig

If your SS is stock it came with 3.23's, you ca check this by looking at the codes stickered in your glove box or on your driver's door. If you se a GU5 code, it has 3.23's if you have a GU2 code you have 2.73's, GU6 is 3.42 (normally in a M6 car)

Gear swap will run you around $700 because you must swap out the carrier in a GM car to go from 3.23 to 4.10 if i am not mistaken, also you must purchase gears, have them installed, and get your ECU re-calibrated. I am not sure about teh carrier issue though, can someone enlighten me?
