So I'm over at the shop that works on my bike and one of my friends that also has a busa is there in his camaro. He just put LTs and a lid and a bunch of bolt-ons on it last week. Well as soon as he pulls in hes all you wanna run em for money. I'm kinda broke so I decline. I'm like you're gonna need more than LTs to run with me, did you get some spray and a cam? Hes like well I got a 100 shot, its the stock cam though but I'm spinning it to 6800. I'm like well it should be close but I'll still win, I'll give you a free show though. Keep in mind my car is COMPLETELY stock down to the paper air filter and the dead silent exhaust. His car is also an A4.
So he agrees, he drops his bottle in the sink there and runs some scalding hot water on it. After 10 mins or so we head out. Finally get to this nice 2 lane with NO traffic. I'm used to the three honk but hes like 'Go at that sign' and points to this deer crossing sign LOL. So we're rolling about 30 in 1st gear and as soon as we get to the sign I stomp it. Spins in 1st so I pedal it just a bit, we're both spinning but were dead even, NAIL 2nd and the tires scream, 6500 again I look over and hes at my rear bumper and I click third and the tires let out one last chirp. He falls back just a little maybe a foot behind my bumper when I click 4th. Run 4th to redline and he lets off a little before I get to 6K I assume right before he hits 4th in his auto. We both slow down and I pull up he says "I was just spinning lets go down **** road here" So we turn and do the exact same thing with another sign and with the EXACT same result. We both pull in a QT and hes like damn that ******* fast.

I was pretty happy with these results. What do you guys think? I can drive the **** outta this car but I knew it would be close I didn't think I'd win by more than a fender or so.

Hes a chevy mechanic so I talked him into putting a GT2-3 cam in my car for my cam/springs as payment for his labor so that will be nice. By Xmas my car will have GT2-3, Halltech stinger, 100 shot with heater & window switch, and some drag radials. 500rwhp and look and sound dead stock

What do you guys think I'm putting down RWHP wise? I just got the car about a month ago.

You sound a little cocky to me. If he hasnt tuned his car with those headers hes probably running rich as hell and losing power but as for your question Id say somewhere around 360 rwhp.

His car has been tuned and had the limiter bumped up. Seriously this guy was talking so much **** about how his car would destroy mine it wasn't eve funny. Thats why I didnt race for money I thought he was H/C/Spray.

You think? I've been 11.97@118mph and the best he'd ran before the spray with just the bolt-ons was 12.89 not sure on the mph but it was much lower. Same track and same weather but now he has a 100 shot. Sounds about even to me, and it was.

11.97 is a very strong run for an 02 Z06. What was your 60' time?

I don't have the slip on me but I believe it was a low 1.70 I've pulled a 1.68 once but it was a 12.10 because it spun too hard into 2nd. Also just before we raced he said he beat a mustang that runs 11.30s (and had slips to prove it) on the street this same day.

My best was a 12.50@116mph 2.4 60' LOL I couldn't get that car to hook for anything. It was stock 241 heads/ FM14 cam. I sold it to a friend and its pretty much dead even with my Z06 from a 50 roll.

That car was a factory freak I ran 12.80s @110mph with a lid/catback it made 335/341 SAE LOL

Yes, those are huge factory numbers with those mods, basically the same mods as mine and look at my numbers =/ I would expect the WS6 to be just as fast if not a tiny bit faster then your Z06 but the vette has a big weight advantage. Anywho is the Camaro guy changes his nozzle to a 150 he should beable to walk you pretty easily.

Properly tuned with a 100shot and a good driver he should have won. With a stall and a cam on top of it, you will be a speck in the mirror. Good kill nonetheless, get him b4 he gets tuned.

NICE KILL AND NICE CAR!!!!!!! I LOVE Z06's!!!!! I just sold both of my camaros so I can buy my dad's 2002 Z06. I need to learn how to drive stick so I can get 11's out of it. I totally believe your story, because even though the chevy auto's are strong, they are no match for the close geared TREMIC of the Z06.

Head/Cam......Cam/blower would be awesome on that car. The Z06 is too classy for sray, don't do it man. BTW, Nice kill!

And guys, don't flame me for the Nitrous comment. It's just an opinion.
