if u had enough road u could out run the helicopter too. they can only do 140-150 mph for about 5-10 minutes (full tank)

edit: but u would need a pretty hefty pair to pull that off in a stock camaro

I can't upload the video (as it's in a different format that most sites don't accept) but there's a video of a 94-96 Impala SS outrunnning a news helicopter and quite a few Crown Vics. The chase lasted like 45 minutes and they only caught him because he ran out gas.

you dont even have to think about this one, its a ford, and the only thing good about them is that they circled a problem, tell him to get a real police car, and grab a 9C1

seriously though, whoever it was that wanted an interceptor as a daily driver, definitely look into a caprice 9C1, it is in every aspect except its steering ratio an impala SS. my buddy bought his from colorado and had it shipped here for a grand total of $2700, and the thing only had 86k on it. 2700 for an impala ss is a good deal in my book any day. and now i own it and i managed a cool 1500 for it.

Agree, the caprice is far better than crown vic. In fact I used to own a '93 roadmaster. I was interested simply because the crown vic had a CNG option.
