I think the point is that the language used by Dan03Mach1 is misleading. While he is correct that the engine itself is not modded, by not mentioning the spray, he is essentially concealing it. It is a perception issue IMHO.

An LS1 would be trapping more like 120 mph with that e.t.
off topic: An LS1 would be trapping around 115mph in full trim/weight with that ET. An LS1 trapping 120mph should be running anywhere from
10.8-11.2 (seconds in the quartermile) If I saw any car running 12.0 with a trap speed of 120 or higher, I automatically assume driver error, traction, or high-way car. This is all based on my assumption.

Dan03mach's car is a 100% stock motor with bolt-on's + suspension work and weight reduction, thats what he said it was right? "Stock motor with nitrous"....that sounds wrong to you?

Yes thats where I was coming from...that and just the fact that over the past year or so I have just seen so many threads where him and his mach buddies (same group of fellas) swarm to any mustang threads and do what I like to call an over-representation of the car, along with a lot of hardcore bashing of certain members, even if they aren't saying anything that bad about the mach1. Personally, I know the mach's are capable but I don't think they are generally as capable as they often try to lean everyone to believe. They just seem to have come here on a mission, which isn't altogether bad but some of the methods I have seen I don't agree with. I don't blame them for defending their car against BS, but at the same time I think they often swing the BS gauntlet the other way themselves. They don't hesitate to jump down someone's throat if they feel that person is handing out BS about their cars, so I did a little of the same to one of them for once.

I know a lot of people think this is petty and for the most part it is, but is was a culmination over a period of time and after a few recent threads I finally had to say something. And this wasn't meant to be this major personal attack...honestly, Dan seems like on ok guy, just will say that hopefully this will have a positive effect and tone these gangsters down a bit Maybe at least SOME good can come from this.

It's true, what can I say. After I bought the Z06, the Corvette gang unfortunately made me shave it down.

I'm close to that ET of 12.0 but no where close to that trap speed of 115 for the LS1. Depends on the setup.

Yeah........I agree with you about that, but its more fun to read and post up your opinions, etc. This is why I love this site so much.

I trap 12.23 at 120mph, lol, I get horible traction with my street tires so I do a lot of spinning off the line and a bit down the track.
