A 450-500whp Evo or GSX is a 10scecond car with a good driver. 440whp would get you low 11's easy. Also Evo's don't pull very hard over 120-130mph unless you have a much bigger turbo.

CamaroSS621-If your friend really does have a 480AWHP Evo then there is noway you killed him unless he really can't drive or your running 9's.

Im not trying to bash anyone and I'll be the first to admit that from a roll Evo's and GSX's aren't that fast unless they have big turbo's but from a dig if they have someone that knows how to drive behind the wheel they are very fast. The 12.3 I ran in mine was with about $1500 in mods on 92oct.

I take it back. Im not done with this worthless waste of bandwidth. I said the first paragraph guy. Not the others. And now people quote it like I said it. Fix it. 3 posts and your already misquoting. Impressive. Again. FIX IT.

I said that a 440WHP DSM will murder a bolt-ons SS. I did not say it would run 10s. Big difference.

So your saying a bolt on SS makes 400WHP. I didnt know a cam was now a bolt on. Yeah, I needed to remove a freinds radiator to help him put on his lid on too. And it will beat a 450WHP car that has better traction, less weight, and likely more aggresive gearing. Wow.

just FYI I dont have a bold on SS. I dyno 506hp at the wheels all motor. no spray no F/I no nothing. And a 6 speed My car is in the body shop having some things done and prostars are on the way. Dont think this kid will wanna run with them on lol

Why would anyone doubt the capability of a 408cid LS1 with full bolt ons
on a tire? What site am I on again? Do you guys even know
what a car like that can do? 500rwhp N/A is no joke.

Aside from the fact that your post is a contradiction of itself, yeah, thats why I don't do some things. They are just too simple.

A bolt-ons only LS1 does not make 400whp. I've seen it claimed. I've never seen it dynoed. With a cam, sure. A cam is not a bolt-on. With spray, almost imevitably. We are not talking about spray. So maybe someday it'll happen (consistently), but not right now. Not when I wrote that either.

Nobody doubts 500WHP. It was not about 500WHP 408s. It was originally a simple comment that a bolt-on only stock LS1 SS will not beat a 440WHP DSM. But after about 3 misquotes and a lot of heat, here we are. Why is this not closed yet?

lol that was funny. just as a personal question. What did you pay for your cobra? did you buy it used? I was looking at a 04 conv. 7,000 miles. the dealership was filled with ******** and wouldnt move from $32,900. After I looked the vehicle over, the pass. side fender well is weird. Welds do not look right, looks like someone had to fit it with a hammer and the rear bumper didnt line up 100% on the pass. side. The guy flipped out when I asked him how hard it was hit.

I bought it when they were really hot so I payed well over MSRP. It
was almost $39K if I recall correctly. Bought it brand new.

well I'm glad you under stand. It seems to be of lately that people assume they can buy a DSM for 1200 bucks or get a loan and drive an Evo off the lot, and add some minor mods, and all of a sudden think thuer the new 10sec 1/4 miles champions... I like you way of thinking... I'll leave you alone.
