Dam we could have some fun, maybe drop by Ohio and pick up the t-type. I haven't got run it yet after the the heads and bigger cam. It's been to atco before but that was 4 years ago and it was only running mid 11's then.
ls1 vs cobra
buick vs buick
Bad thing is I have no cage in either, atco was pretty rigid when I there.

Thumbs up

Buick has steel crank, ported irons (227/189), ported intake, 212/212 roller, 1.65 T&D's, GTQ70, PTE FMIC, 3600 9" L/U, etc....bring it.

BTW...
The TTA has Champion heads/intake, 218/218 cam and I'll probably do a TE45a.
Should run quite well.

Correct again. 10's are very possible with just the ported blower and the necessary
supporting mods (injectors, BAP, exhaust, CAI, heat exchanger, etc). Add nitrous
and hold the **** on!

Now I'm talking about turbo this, turbo that.

I agree. Mine felt like a turd too in stock trim. They are deceiving though
since the pull is so smooth. I went 13.0 @ 111mph on a horrible 2.4 60' when stock.
That's still not too shabby. It just didn't feel fast.

Pray

That guy must've been pretty shaddy to say he wanted to run you in a GT then
show up in a modified Cobra on some tires. Good runs though based on your
times...nothing wrong with that at all!
I agree with that statement 100%.....lol.

Well we run again later and he runs an 11.48 @ 121.72 to my 12.08 @115.95.

I have an '02 Z06 and I was looking for an comparison on my 1/8th mile times. I was wondering on your 12.08 pass was was your 1/8th time and mph. My quickest 1/8th has been a 7.96 @ 92mph on the stock F1SC's w/ 20k miles on them. That was against a pullied/chipped and exhaust Cobra on radials. He went a 7.92 @ 94. He said he was putting down 455 rwhp and a little over 500 rwtq. We ran a couple other times but these were the fastest times of the night.

Some of those pulled cobras are no joke! I always have to watch out for the KB cobras though ~600rwhp is pretty nasty.

I really need to catch a ride with one sometime

On that run my 1/8th was a 7.83@90.58. My best 1/8th MPH it 91.56. So I think you are putting out a little bit more power than me. I have a bunch of 7.91-4 passes all in the 12.1x on the big end. I hope that helps.

Holy **** - that's sick. I knew the supercharged Cobras were fast, but that's ridiculous with such few mods. What gears/trans do you have? Headers as well? I can't imagine running mid to low 11's in such a stock appearing car....

No headers...just the mods posted. Stock tranny (T-56). Stock gear (3.55).
I also had a Pro 5.0 shifter. That doesn't add any power obviously, but it
does help ET.

That helps.. I'm going to get some new tires here shortly and try to cut my 60's down to the 1.8's and hopefully run high 7.70's or low 7.80's w/ no new mods.. That is the only time I have been out to the track so some more seat time is going to help also.
Thanks again.
