Stock 6.0L GTO's have been known to defeat F-Bodies with a couple bolt-ons in totally stock trim.

Driver is a BIG factor in a race between the two. Don't kid yourself though, the Goat has the power to make up for the extra 300-400lbs.

That's because none of us are stock! I say the GTO wins by 2 cars to 120. but if he has tuned it at all and gotten rid of the TQ mgmt you are totally screwed.

That's the video I was thinking about when I saw this thread. The F-Body just has a lid and a CAI if I am not mistaken. The Goat is bone stock if I recall correctly.

Wow, mod for mod you would lose. Unfortunetly I don't have as many mods as you. I'm talking about stock for GTO's. They are dogs compared to stock F-body's.

GTO's stock PCM blows. A tune give that car so much more potential. After you get rid of the torque management issues, the GTO is just about up to par on a stock f-body and a gto probaly will have the edge.

All the GTO's I have raced one 04 (in my trans am) I crushed and so far then (2) 05 GTO's in my GTP I have beat from rolls.

Call them bad drivers or whatever, but I'm going by experiences I've had thus far. My GTP on a good day will run 13.7 - 13.9 with good traction (which i have i'm on a 245-45-17 Nitto)

To me I persoanlay think the average 05 Goat will run a 13.2 at 107 and the average 02 camaro will run a 13.4 at 105..

I think it will be a drivers race with the mods listed with a slight advantage going to the camaro...

The average F body dynos 300 rwhp

The average 05 mn6 goat dynos 340 rwhp..

Theres only a 40 rwhp differance on average...

Now this automatic 05 Goat probaly has the typical 335 rwhp that the A4's seem to post...

The A4 camaro is modded and has 320 rwhp..

Now were talking about an only 15 rwhp differance.

from a dead stop I would defiently give it to the Camaro.

But from a 70 mph roll I think the GTO may prevail...

Should be a funrace eighter way.

the goats put down around 340-345rwhp, but they are heavy and hard to launch. It should be a good race anyway, good luck.

The 6.slow comment was pretty idiotic.

Because 340rwp is sooo slow.

1.81 60ft on 245 street tires (not DRs) isn't to bad . . . It takes the right driver to get it out of the hole.

I ran an 04 GTO w/LT's, cat-back, DR's, welds, and a tune (He may have had more) and he ran a 12.8@109, you can find my race from 65 to 95 if you do a search. He was impressive, woulda had me by a car if he didnt bungle a shift.

Hmm, im not sure who you guys are seeing running at the track, but 105 is a low trap speed for an f-body with a lid, filter, and catback or cut-out. With 8rwhp less than him i trapped 109 with just a lid, filter and catback. I also ran a 13.1 with a crappy 2.2 60'. I just couldnt get everything to work at the same time. Clutch issues, then after clutch install, tranny issues. I would say stanger that a 12.8@109 with all those mods isnt a very good time. I think stock against stock the F-bodies have a slight edge because of weight. From what ive seen most F-bodies stock will trap around 105-106. So I would say slight edge to F-bodies, but it would be a drivers race stock against stock.

stock 05 gto a4 vs. 98 ss m6 lid/magnaflow, 40-110 i put one solid car on him
same cars gto with at least catback, me with LTs i smoked him a lot worse, didnt get to run it out though had to shut down....so for the stock gto's beating f-body's with a few minor mods, it just depends on if the cars are autos or manuals and who the hell can drive
