Stock 1/4 times for a 2004 GTO are slightly slower than the stock 1/4 times of the F-Body. However 2005/2006 GTO's are slightly faster than the F-Bodies and more in line with the C5 Corvette. Which is definately quicker than an F-Body.

Point is, GTO's are not slow. Not when compared to MOST production cars under $50,000.

i don't know too much on the technical side of this situation but i know that i took an 05 gto 6spd. 0-60ish i left him. 60-100 it was pretty close, the nose of his car was about where my rear wheel is. My car is just a 98 z28 6spd with 4.10's, qtp cutout, and flowmaster catback. thats all the input i have on this situation. experience. oh i have a related question as well, i'm about to put a z06 clutch and a 06gto tranny in my car as well and someone with an 04gto 6spd with 4.10s and exhaust wants to race me when i'm done. think i'd take him?

Theres a guy on this board in 11's with similar number than that car. I'd say thats an unfair comparison between yours (sorry, didnt meant to delete your times, not thinking ahead!) It would be alot more fair if you drove both cars

Ummmm...

The GTo is FULLY LOADED.
There is no GT, or SS, or SLP, there is just one model.
Every single one has every single option.... They are heavy cars.
Its not secret they house the same LS1/LS2 beasts with more Stock Hp and Tq.
Curb Weight: 3725 lbs. and thats without anyone in it.
Take 500 lbs off one, put 4.10's on it with some nice rubber, then see what happens at the track.
Kiss your Fbody guuhh bie!

2004 Stock Numbers:

Horsepower: 350 hp
Max Horsepower: 5200 rpm
Torque: 365 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 5000 rpm

IMO, Other than the fact that they look like a grand prix from the front, not a muscle car, Ive rode in a GTo and they are very nice cars.
When I move on from the Fbody, I think a GTO as a DD is a great choice, considering they have every option standard.

Damn your friend needs driving lessons. He sucks.

BTW. My 05 GTO with predator tune and K&N CAI dynoed on a Mustang Dyno 320RWHP and 358RWTQ.

The times below were stock. I can't wait to get back to the track.

^ not bad NY. sounds like your car is about like that guy I ran who had full bolt-ons on his M6 04 GTO. He ran 12.8@109 according to his timeslip he showed me.

there's no excuse for a 400 hp car running a 99 mph trap unless you're at retarded elevation which, judgin by your 106 mph trap, you aren't....something ain't quite right there be it with man or machine...

My cousins srt4 ran 13.6@99. It only has 230hp. But he did some good driving to run that good an e.t. with that low a mph. Especially in a manual. Of course it doesnt weight near as much as the heavy *** gto!

I have to agree with him. 99MPH I would say 102-104MPH on a stock 06 A4 GTO.

104-105 sounds about right once the motor is broken in fully.
