Default Me vs 460 rwhp Lightning

this happened a while back...but my friend just put up the vid again so i figure id post up.

he has 03 lightning with pulley, exhaust, predator tune, nittos, traction bars...and has like 460 rwhp or something like that

im 224 cam, headers, and true duals making ~380 rwhp.

this is 2 short races with me on street tires. first time i bog real bad, 2nd time i better, but i cant catch up to him in time.

i run better @ the track, but this race is short so i cant catch up. weve raced many times before and we knew he would(should) win from a dig on the street, but its all fun. from a low roll (10 mph) i take him though.lol.

Get some good tires and run him again. You definitely have more capability than him; you just aren't getting it all to the ground properly. Although his truck is fast. Those L's are torque monsters.

yea, i think the one time i went with him i ran 12.6 to his 12.76 or something, then i went back next weekend and ran 12.4

i know im faster, but on the street those big *** nittos and traction bars are not comparison to my street tires and stock suspension

Ouch...that's a pretty good *** whoopin'. No big deal though.

The L shot out of the hole like a rocket in that first vid. There's no
way you can compete with that with a M6 on street tires.

Your car does sound nice though.

pssst....powershift that focker.

With a pulley/tune/intake he should be close to 400rwhp, Cat backs add nothing on Lightnings, he is nowhere near 460rwhp.

Nice race. From a higher roll you would prob beat him pretty good. What does he trap and what do you trap?

The owner of the L had it dynoed a long time ago, I can't remember his specs exactly, but it was over 400rwhp and 500rwtq.

thanks Unit.

he launches like a ****, and i just didnt have enough room to catch back up. weve raced many times before and i usually win b/c its normally from a low roll or on a longer stretch of road somewhere
