I raced a fox body with a cam, exhaust, gtp40 heads, gearing ( 3.7X or 3.8X, don't remember ). The driver said the car dynoed at 302 hp, and had no weight reduction that I could see. The cam was VERY noticable and I think that he said the heads were ported, but anyways I walked him pretty bad 3 times. Once from a dig, but he had no traction and wanted to go from a roll after that, two other times I let him get the jump and even with good traction he didn't put up a fight.
I'm pretty much stock.

I would like to add that if you are going from a roll the LS1 better win.
From a dig (with him on slicks) you are counting on him launching the **** out of the car, that's how they run mid/low 12's with only 280rwhp (and they're light).

I JUST got rid of a 93 LX Hatch...I ran a 12.9@112 in the 1/4 with Edelbrock performer heads, a Cobra intake, F-cam, Tremec 3550, suspension, and full bolt ons....On STREET TIRES...
Some of this just sounds a lil odd to me I guess...

Sorry, never put a car on the dyno...Every tune I've ever had I either did myself, or was done on the street...
Never weighed the car, it was a 93 LX Hatch, full weight with A/C and heat, power everything, full interior....
On good tires I ran a 7.7 in the 1/8 with 3.73 gears...

As far as the other guy, if his heads are ported E7's, no wonder he doesnt make more. He needs some heads on that combo.
My thoughts are this guys either really really full of **** and has no idea what hes talking about, or hes sandbaggin.

he must be sandbaggin then...I know he is pretty knowledgable about cars, as well as all his and my friends from highschool. What confuses me is that, he says he can beat me, im prolly in the low-mid 12's right now, and then he tells me he only has 280whp and runs low low-mid 13's. Then he says his 331 stroker is only putting down that "280whp" If he is sandbagging, its not a very good job, i mean hes telling me he can beat me but lies about his power. Kinda mixed up...Oh well I will just have to race him again and see what happens
