First time on the 75 shot and lost to a 03 KB Cobra...
Hey all:
I just had a NX system installed about a week ago and went with a 75 shot. I also have all the bolt-ons with LT headers and full exhaust, heads and cam, 3,200 stall with 342 gears. This was my first time EVER using a nitrous system on a car.
I meet up with some friends this Saturday night at a local spot. One of my good friends came out with his 03 Cobra convertable. We where there about an hour when I heard someone say " did you see that KB Cobra " I over heard that and turned around and to my suprise he just had it installed that day prior. Its the 2.2 KB running 14-15 PSI. He also has a cold air kit, x-pipe with a catback.
On the way home that night we made a few runs from 65-140+. From 65 to about 110 we stayed about dead even, but after 110 he started pulling and around 140+ he put about 1 1/2 to 2 cars on me and was still pulling. Also he had a passanger which added about 250LB to his car.
I do have to say that all the hype I heard about how nitrous kicks in so hard, I really could'nt fill it like I thought I would, Maybe because it is only a 75 shot.
I did lose, but I lost to a good friend with a bad azz car. KB Cobra's have my respect. I miss my 03 SB Cobra now.
Just wanted to share it with you even though it was a loss.

Anyway, good "loss", up the shot to a 150 and you should take him.

Over 100mph areodynamics probibly start to play a big role, not to mention overall gearing. (I dont know what the Drag coeficant or overall gear ratios on ether car are, I'm just saying that it wasnt like he got raped.)
Thats my theory... anyway, kudos for posting a good death.
edit: Just read your sig, you have an A4 and he has an M6 (right?) My money is deffenetly on your gearing.

He makes more power than you and it a few hundred more pounds more, I have to say it's gearing. If you moved up to 125 shot you should walk him.

Long story short we put the 100shot on, and I instantly felt it. The 150 was even more nasty.
Basically out of the 6-7 guys I've talked to with sprayed LS1s, all of them have said they couldn't feel the 75 shot.
