Default Almost got killed(not literally) by a cop

i was leaving work and when i got to mazzios i saw my friends car and he waved at me so i pulled in. We took a short ride in our friends truck because he left the keys in it and when we got back he was there and wanted to go for his first ride in an ls1 fbody. So we pull out and stop at a light. Radar isn't going off and no one is around. I punch it on green(cutout open) and get just a couple feet sideways. I then go to the turnaround spot and go back the other way. About halfway back to mazzios I pass a cop going the opposite direction and he hits his lights, so i pull over. He walks up the the window and says "you already know why i pulled u over and i expect you to do that kind of thing, just dont do it in front of people like me". Then he takes my license and insurance back to his car for about 3 minutes, when he suddenly comes trotting up to the window and hands me my stuff back. He says "its your lucky day, I gotta go" and he peeled out of the parking lot and sped off. I got so lucky, that brings my record to 4-0 with the cops

I never get away with **** when it comes to cops. You lucky bastard.

So does this count as a kill? You totaly walked the system from a dig.

So I say congradualtions, nice kill.

This title raised my eyebrow a bit too. I figured it literally.

Failure to signal? Did he catch up to you? Did another cop see you not signal and pull you over for that? I am not sure I understand.

"You totaly walked the system from a dig." That's an awesome quote.

It's pretty cool that he didn't mess with you, just telling you to avoid cops when you're playing around. I wonder how cops feel about giving tickets in situations like that, where there was no harm done to anyone.

Damn nice get away see everyone get's lucky once in awhile

I got caught doing the same thing only my peel out was more of a burnout box type take off in my mustang. Picture it 10pm at night 4 way stoplight light traffic i'm in front at the light 04 GTO m6 next to me throws a rev. so i'm courteous and throw one back a louder one of course. Now little to my knowledge in the vacant dark lot across from the stoplight there is a cop watching ME knowing what i'm about to do cause he can't even see the GTO since it's in the far lane. Light goes green and we hammer it 1st goes up in smoke and i'm feathering it slam 2nd and put the pedal to the floor again the tires are just roasting i let off since it's in town and i was infront of the GTO so he passes and we give each other thumbs up. Now up the road there is a cop sitting in another parkinglot and i saw him i knew he heard what just went down but didn't see. I THOUGHT i was safe till i looked in my rearview mirror and seen the spectator cop and sure enough the lights go on and i pull over. He walks up and says license and insurance..........Soooo exactly what do yo uhave done to this thing to make it do what you did back there. I told him and he goes ya know maybe you should keep this to the track i agree'd but he understood why i did it . He was like well atleast it's american not some POS rice crap like that one there "pointed to one going down the road" . He goes to his cruiser comes back and goes welp gonna let ya off with a warning have a good night i couldn't believe it i said thanks started up the beast an left. Coolest cop i ever dealt with around here.

I had the pleasure of playing with an LS2 Vette for about 10 miles at roughly 135mph. He had me follow him to his daughter's house, come to find out he is my Deputy Sherrif of my county, and he is like 65.....He was way kewl....Some people get all the luck....just happened to be my turn....LMAO

We had a bad tornado hit (F4) in early November, and for about 1.5 weeks afterward, the cops and national guard had checkpoints at different areas where you have to show your license to get through. This was done to help prevent looting.

At the entrance to our subdivision there was a checkpoint set up. One of the deputies was a motorcycle cop, and he tried more then once to get me to do a burnout. The only reason I didn't was because my tires were seriously worn, and I had just plugged one of the rears up less then 1 mile prior. When I came back later that day, I tried to get him to do a burnout in his patrol Harley. He just laughed and said, "no man my back tire is worn."

A couple months later, I had just gotten a retune and opend my car up through 2nd to listen for any pinging. I didn't see the deputy waiting to turn left at the stoplight, and he pulled me over 1/4 mile later. I'm was pretty nervous because the street was a 35 zone, and I had taken my car to ~ 65mph or wherever 2nd ends at 6000. The cop was smirking a little, gave me a warning, and told me not to do it again in front of a cop.

Cops around here are pretty lenient about this type of stuff. Drunk driving is a different story which is the way it should be.

Yea cops can be a pain here. The summer nationals are always in worcester every summer and they used to be cool with people doing burnouts and stuff but now they are awful. I have seen a cop give a $500 ticket for reckless driving for doing a burnout at a street light using line locks.

Yeah I've gotten lucky with them...A warning. I need to get the FOP medallion on the back of this car now...

Probably the best was following 25 mustangs and camaros out to a race spot...Going full throttle off the light, and probably doing 80 ans we were getting on to the on-ramp. By the time the cop busted a U and hit the lights we were gone.
