Worth the Gas? This kid at my work keeps runnin his mouth about how he wants to race me, he has a turbo eagle talon and i have an a4 98 z28. I'm pretty sure it'll be an easy win or am i gonna be suprised? Is it worth the gas, and a possible ticket?

well...I have two friends local,...that have 9 second, completely stock looking talon's.

Depends on his mods. If he has all the free mods and bolt ons with the stock 14b turbo(w/ high boost) then he could give u a run for your money so long as it is tuned correctly. If he is anywhere near stock you will destroy him. If he has an upgraded turbo it can be either a hit or miss depending if he knows what he is doing. But, it really comes down to what he has done to his car. Also, if he has a 95+ running the stock turbo you will easily kill him. The stock turbo on the 95+ is so tiny it can't make much power at all. I have a 91 Laser RS-T(same as a FWD talon tsi) and it is pretty strong from a roll. So, don't underestimate DSMs.

lol v-series everyone knows someone who has a 10 or 9 second something. more than liekly they arent much. i ran vs a turbo talon about 2 weeks ago and blew by him. unless they have done some well planned an tuned mods with the turbo you should take him.
Whenever I see I fast Eclipse/Talon, it's always primer with wheels that look like they came from that of a doughnut tire. I see this being a huge blowout of a race, but I'm not sure who's going to be doing the victory dance.

Race first, post later. These "who do you think will win" post's are way old.
If someone say's you might lose, so what? It's no fun if you only run sure thing's.
But to answer the other question, no street race is worth a ticket, so choose your place with care, and be carefull.

So how old are you 16? Anyways im a LT1 guy also and own a DSM dont take them lightly.
Stock 14Bs go low 13s all day with full botlons, and dip into 12s, if you want a good win race him from a roll. 14Bs dont pull up top good....

For the record, regardless of your point on this, "I" am not the type of person to internet race, or say my cousins brother mothers aunties uncle has this or that. Anytime anyone would like to call me out, or question me, "i" personally would like you to make it a point to let me know directly, and i'll do my utmost to set something up.
These cars do exist....one is gold, one is black. They run high nines,...and run on the street. If you don't belive me, eat **** and die, or bring a car out to battle.
Your makeing a comment about some talon that you beat,..and it was obviously NOT a really fast one. Big deal. DOesn't mean that there isn't another badass one around the corner.
