i like how the honda webpage describes the 06 SI engine:

"At the center of this revolutionary masterpiece lives the powerful 197-horsepower 2.0 liter engine that screams performance"

It sure screams up at 9k, but noise doesn't necessarily equal speed!

Thats pretty funny, but 197hp n/a is pretty respectable for a 4 banger with no power adders or nitrous.

C&D rated them at 15.1@96 mph i belive. no chance for it to hang with a ls1 or lt1 hell a Grand prix GTP would take it down.

dont get me wrong good cars decent performance. but entirly in a different league. though their already is some 300 hp si running around. im curious to see how their engines last revving so high. im sure the kiddies are going to burn them up.

yeah it was pretty damn slow especially considering that he told me he payed 25k for it . but anyway he knew he was gonna lose he just didn't think that he would lose so badly since he had beaten everything else he raced

I really can't see that happening. Toyota has a V8 in the Tundra, but I don't see them dropping that into a sports car anytime soon. Honda has made it pretty obvious that they don't want to develop a V8, seeing as they think they can get more power and better fuel economy out of a V6

thats what i read on road and track, i cant find that issue but it said toyota is developing a v-8 for there new supra thats suppose 2 compete with nissans new gt-r and 350z........and honda wants to compete in the sports car market so theyre developing a v-8 that might be used in the new nsx or there new car thats replacing the honda s2000
