Thanks, and Long story.....

I was young"er", still only 23 now, but I was making pretty good coin, living at home, so I could afford any car within reason that I wanted. The M3 was at the pinnacle of my car quest. I lost that high paying job, and could not afford the M3 on unemployment, nor could a I get a job that paid 50k again, a 19 yearold with no degree is pretty hard pressed to get a job like that with no experience. It was fun. Granted if I could do it over again I would have not spent all that money. Just saved it all, and still be driving my Civic Si.

Here is my entire list of cars owned to date----

1) 1984 El Camino Conquista (1st car)
2) 1993 Firebird Formula (ran low 13's)RIP
3) 2000 Honda Civic Si
4) 2000 Mustang GT (Auto)
(Aquired High Paying Job)
5) 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning
6) 1999 Corvette Coupe M6
7) 1989 Buick Century (Beater)
8) 1999 Porsche 911 C2
9) 2000 Honda S2000
10) 2001 BMW M3
11) 1990 Ford Bronco II (Beater)
(Lost High Paying Job)
12) 2002 Mustang GT (5 speed)
13) 2002 VW GTi 1.8T (would have ran 13's if i ever got traction)
14) 2002 Pontiac Firehawk
15) 1989 Ford Taraus SHO (Beater)
16) 2002 Subaru WRX
17) 2003 Mustang Cobra

I raped an 03 M3 in my CTS-V with intake/exhaust/predator tune. Got him by 2 1/2 lengths from 120-150 and i didnt use 4th gear!!!! I stayed in 5th.... We played around from then on on the open road,,, when using 4th....he was duny BOY. In addition, the new S4 blows also, got to play with one of those a month back......I just kept pulling and pulling from 90-150

I ran 13.1@108 in my M3 stock, and only 13.5@107 in my T/A.

So i could see how a F-body might have a prob with one.

I stand corrected. Thats a damn good time for the M3 and a rather slow time for the T/A but I see none the less. I just assume no one has a stock LS1 anymore. Nice time though!

if you lost to a 200X'M3 then he's boosted.
If hes not bosted then your car is runing like
stock 333hp.

1)aatuning has a SC kit that puts the "E46" Me into the 499hp range.
2)Dinan Has a SC kit that puts the E46 into the 462hp range
3)DA motorsport has a turbo kit that should do 510hp or better
4)http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk has some strange Euro-kits.

Default We kill M3's good style in U.K.

My post in International members

2002 WS6 + Ferarri + M3
This happened today in U.K.

Me in-front in my 2002 WS6 Auto, then a "05" Reg M3 convertible behind me, then an a "S" Ferarri convertible behind the M3.
Started off some where on the M56 by Helsby area, towards Manchester, I looked in my mirror and saw this silve M3 behind me.
Still just cruizin' at 80.
Then we both pass this silver convertible Ferarri, it looked beautiful, I mean gorgeous!!! the M3 just looked ordinary, like an everyday car.
So I look again in the rearview, and the Ferrari is behind the M3.
I raise the limit to 100, and were all still playing, now the M/way is quite m.t. and I know I only come strong aver 100, so nails the pedal, kicks down a couple of gears, and off we go like a scalded cat, the M3 was o.k. up till about 140, then all the time I could see it dropping back, The funny thing was, the Ferrari was maulin' his ***! but couldn't get past because of a car on the middle lane further ahead.
Slows it back to 70 - 80 and we all still together, the m/way gets m.t. again, so I nail it again, same result, up to about 120 the M3 was on my tail, but after that when we got up to 150 he was quite a bit behind, and ofcourse the Ferarri was chewin' his ***. I think the Ferarri was closer than a couple of meters off the M3 bumper.
My junction was comming up so I had to bail out, but when the M3 and the Ferarri came past, OOOOOHHHHH sounded soooooooooo good, more like a cracklin' noise out the pipes of the Ferarri.
They both probably came past on the outside lane at 140 plus.
I know the M3 is probably limited to 155, if he could get that fast, don't think they can to be honest, so he would drop right off if we had have gone up to MAX, but I don't know about the Ferarri, could be close, I think this 2002 T/A WS6 auto, will run close to 170 on a long enough. 160 isn't that much of a big deal.

How fast are the ferarri's ?

13.5 is not a "rather slow" time. That's pretty much the average for a stocker.

Uh, don't think the E46 M3 can hit 150?

I hit the speed limiter at 155 with ease, my M3 had alot more to go. I never lost to an LS1 with my old M3. Granted I never did race any thing more than a intake/exhaust car.

having problems with M3's now? Just wait until they DO put the E39 M5 engine into the new E90 M3, and that engine has ALOT of aftermarket for it..then they will become a real problem...but then again..it is in vette territory w/ that nice big price tag
