Anyone know? How about with some bolt ons, is there a general range? This kid sprays from what I have heard as well, can they take a decent amount of juice?

seen em go 12's on motor, 11's on spray. i'm sure they COULD be quicker but, i'm really not into rice, so I really don't know 100%. A local friend here, does **** up alot of cars here on the street in his hatch.

I read the stickies. I don't remember asking in this thread who would win in a race

I've seen them run a 13.2 with Turbo and my own eyes on a B18 swap.

They can be very quick because they are so light. An HF model weighs about 1800lbs! If he has a decently built motor with spray he should be low 12's high 11's, with serious traction issues. Would be killer from a roll though.

Your averae B18 AFAIK with bolt ons is like 160ish WHP. Thats not horrible in a 1800 car, but I doubt you have to worry if its a long race. With spray or boost who knows. I doubt it could take much more than a 75 shot though with the stock pistons/HG?etc.

Then again, some guy one here showed me a 650WHP B18 stock longblock.

I would bet on you though unless there's more to the story.

I saya Hapsport conversion with an H22 (the big block of Honda 4cylinders) It ran like mid 13s on spray with tire. That article had some really conservative times. I would expect him to be about the same et.

im saying high 13's with just the swap, without knowing the shot and boltons, along wiht traction, it's to hard to say. race him and find out. alot of honda guys ghetto rig there cars and are not nearly as fast as they should be. i've seen it time and time again where some stupid ricer ****** rigged his car and it's about half as fast as it should be.

N/A B18's in a crx will run mid-high 13's at best. Turbo or nitrous, they can be deep into the 12's. That motor can take some abuse... You might want to find out what motor he's actually running though. LS(B18) with a B16(VTEC) head will be quite a bit faster lower 13's...

^^^ ls/vtec. also alot of them do 2.0 crv block with vtec head. it's called b20vtec, it's a pretty popular setup as well. im guessing if this car has boltons and the kid can drive he will be somewhere in the 13's.

I got beat at the track with my old set-up by a early 90's hatch with a B18 swap and a turbo. He ran an 11.39 @ 123 to my 11.49 @ 124. The car was white and it happened at Moroso last year. I was very impressed to say the least. Awesome little car. Anyways, all take it easy.

actually its a fairly simple swap on a usually inexpensive car. can be made into a perfect sleeper to reel in dumbass's who wouldn't know better.
that car w/o spray or bolt ons is maybe a high 13-low 14 car. sounds like mustang gt/some lt1 range to me. they are highly customizable and realiable (w/o the spray) cheap and light. sounds like a good way to have a budget racer and surpise people to me.

Yeah the kid wouldn't pop the hood and told us his car was stock The car had a full body kit painted bright orange and some decent rims on it. Although I don't like that sort of thing you could tell decent money was spent on it. I didn't have my car there, I was in a friend's '85 Monte Carlo SS with a 383 and a ton of mods. The kid came over and asked us to race for money. I didn't have a clue what his car was capable of, now I have a better understanding, thanks guys. (BTW there was no race)

I raced a crx in my gto it was a b18 with the dohc snap dog vtizzec and had intake, header, exhaust. Was minus back seats, front fenders, a/c, a horn, power steering, inner door panels, carpet, and was a 5 speed. We started at 30 (and I was still breaking in my motor at the time) and went he started in 1st I was in 2nd, by the time I finished 3rd I was even with him (he was about ahead maybe 1 crx length the entire time, but wasnt going anywhere only because he used his fingers to start the race) and 4th was a complete pull and I shifted at 3800 (out of 5000 rpm) and he was shifting at redline at 8200. So chances are probably not fast, nitrous might make a difference but just race him more than once.

Oh and I sold the car to my friend and the first thing we did was race my stock ss, and they were even so, yeah.

actaully my friend did that swap to his crx and had a greddy turbo kit on it and he dynoed at 230whp i believe, he said he was fast enuff to smoke only v-6 f-bodies and in the end with the suspension and redoing his tranny and all the tunning etc. he spend over $20,000
