Unhappy Beat by a Terminator

So, my Buddy and I head out tonight in my car. We go to the local hang out and there was a few cars there. Right before we pulled in a white '03 Cobra had pulled in. I asked him if he wanted to run. At first he declined, he said he wanted to run his slicks. I then told him I was on street tires too, maybe from a roll then? We agreed to go from a roll and headed out the the highway.

We get on the highway and get to about 40ish, which is a dead spot for me. Well, he hits and then I pursued. We stopped at 120 and he had a good 4cars on me. We go again from 45~50 up to 120. He pulled a good 4 cars on me.

The cars:

2003 Cobra Mods: Whipple (unknown boost level), full bolt ons, solid 8.8 rear with 4.56s, dyno tuned. Full suspension, to include tubular K-member and Arms. Was told by the driver the sits around 550rwhp without spray. He didnt spray on the runs he said.

My car: '01 A4 Z28. F14 cam only, with full bolt-ons. 4.10s, 3200 stall, full UMI suspension. Untuned, just modified Predator.

Yea, wow. I knew I was gonna get beat, but wanted to run anyways. I need my bigger stall to get here so it can go in, I need to get some heads and maybe some spray. Well, thats all folks. Oh..I have one of the runs on tape. I'll upload it tommorow.

No big deal about the loss. Just shake it off.

The guy is a dumbass if he's running a 4.56 gear.

Nice Death, looks like you ran into a healthy one. Get your stall and a bottle and you should see some better results.

That is absolutely stupid! If that's true he is a tool. Most of my buddies with KB's and Whipples are running the stock 3.55's and at most 3.73's. They are having great results with them like that. 4.56's are absolutely a bad idea as they are way to short for a street driven Whippled Cobra. He would definitely need slicks to launch that thing with that kind of a gear, which is why he probably didn't want to run from a stop and only wanted to run from a roll. Anyways, take it easy guys.

3.90 gear here....and it's on the borderline of being too much gear.

sometimes the news will show coverage of the 1/8mile track down Mexicali. Wow, some low 5sec and everynow then you get a mid 4sec 1/8 car. Alot of guys here will swap out there rear to go run the 1/8 in Mexico and then got the track up in Pheonix. Theres some quick cars around and in Mexico.

Nice death. And, try avoiding starting a race from your dead spot.

Its a brand of supercharger that far exceeds the quality or output of the stock supercharger on a cobra (eaton). Think supercharger swap.

I would have gone with an ATI myself.
