yea have been ripped on by some cobras that were just stock but were great drivers. so by no means are those cars slow, they are actually very nice cars and unit i was just looking at your mods and damn you must rip people a new *******

 

ok let me re-enstate the whole situation as for i was the only passenger in the car.



Me and him were on our way to the "bell" we pull up on this 03-04 cobra with her husband i guess in the passenger seat. at a red light, first off the road ahead isnt the smoothest, it has bumps and **** and better yet it turns to one lane about 1/2 mile down the road. The girl revs her car cus the light is about to turn green i told him to get ready they are going to go. GREEN she takes off puttin about a car yes traction control was limiting in first 2nd comes we break even she stopped pullin at the top of 2nd we start to reel her in. 3rd comes we put about half a car on her and let off.


We meet up with her down the road i hollared out wat u got done?
She says its an 04 Cobra

So we just leave after her stupidity. It obvisoly had an off road H or X pipe cus it was loud as hell.
Now it could of been she wasnt driving right or just didnt know how to drive but, we beat her and winning is winning. Hell it could of even been the passengers car and could of been a different story if he was driving.

Anyways this does not suprise me Camarossman88's car is very strong and runs good he keeps up with me we have the identical car but i have full suspension, and i have walked are buddy who also has an 04 cobra, IMHO they are very overrated and hyped up alot. Dont get me wrong they are fast for stock even faster after a pulley suspesions exhaust. But they are hyped up like they are F-Body Punishers

Hey guys listen, I'm not a Ford man....and I'm a Ls1 car lover.....but I don't know about all these guys with minor mods beating a 04 SVT Cobra. I CAN drive! And I lost to 2 of them now.....I only have a 02 Z28 w/ Pacesetter LT's, and a SLP Exhaust. Not tuned or nothing.......and they walk me by 3 car lengths!!! So either somethings up or no one can drive a Cobra except real people.

 

Auto? then thats probably why, wat u run in the 1/4?
ive beat other LS1's with more mods than me so idk? but then again it all depends

My stock 00 T/A vs my friends lightly modded 03 Conv Cobra with a catback, accufab & intake would walk me like I was standing still.

He now has a KB with 570 to the ground. Cant wait to run him with my 02 Camaro. I have about the same #'s as him but alot more torq on a 75 shot.

 

**** I just got smoked by one with a pulley. Those things are fast. I thought I would be able to keep up with them with the lingenfelter cam listed in the Signature no way dude. So I sandbagged a little at the end and told the dude I was stock cause my cam sounds stock he gave me 3 cars its like 1/8 of a mile. We bet 40 bucks. Good thing this guy didnt get traction because right at the sign that marks the eighth of a mile he was dead behind me dude. He would have smoked me. He wanted to run again to win his money back. I was like I really have to go. I think he would have got me those things are fricken fast. I am going to try and get the ls6 intake a gear and a good tune if I still cant hang I might need to go with a bigger cam. You guys think I can hang with the existing stuff a LS6 intake and a tune if not let me know so I can put my cam up for sale.

 

Unit you drive a cobra what do you think?

 

Yes it's an auto. I can stall my car just right and pull a car on the take off....but it sure ain't long before the Cobra's catch me and kill me. As for the quarter times....I got no clue yet. This is my newest Z car. My old Z Car (R.I.P.).....was a 94 with the full LT4 Conversion, 3000 stall, 4.10 Richmond, LT's, with a tiny 150 Zex shot......and it ran 11.78 @ Bristol's Thunder Valley.

The 2002 hasn't quite made it to that level of mods yet. But back to the Terminators.....anything is possible on the street....and I commend your friends win over the Cobra...but I really hope he never encounters a Cobra owner with mods....who can actually drive their car. He'll be toasted without modding his car some more.
