well i was on my way to taco bell and there was a black cobra at a stop light so i pull up next to them the light is getting ready to turn green and here him rev him engine and i was like the what the **** i dont, so before i have time to turn off traction control he takes off so i punch it, he gets a hell of a head start on me so i am like **** this thing has a loud exhaust. My traction control is shuting me off, buy the time of second i am right next to them after him having like a car on me in first, third hits and i pull a little bit more his headlights are right next to my quater panels, so the road cuts down to 1 lane so i let off and hit the brakes as he goes full pedal ahead of me. good race i thought. i was freakin excited after that cause my lid and catback car just beat a cobra. everybody that was with us was like hell yea dude cause they are all f-body people. Just thought that i would share the news

That doesn't add up... you had passengers, lid/cat-back, TCS was cutting you off, and a bad launch and you beat a S/C Cobra??

Ya doesn't quite add up, with all my mods i only beat one from 50-110 by 2-3 lengths, i was impressed since it was the first time i raced one, their pretty strong cars.

Yeah, anything can happen, but when you lose off the line its hard to catch up unless the other guy cant drive or your making a lot more power.

Unit..Is your car lowered? I just got an 03 with 18's and want to lower it a bit. It has 275's and 295's but I dont want any rubbing issues.

Lowered? No...slammed? Yes. It's in the weeds. It looks great IMO, but
it's a little too low. My Nittos are torn to **** because they rub when
I launch or when I pull into my inclined driveway. I'm going to roll the
fenders. I don't have any pics of it with it's current stance.

hey man i know it seems like these guys are bustin ur *****....but SC cobras are puttin around 370ish to the wheels (unit please correct me if im wrong....dont wanna b ignorant of my fellow challenger ; )...anyway ur LIGHTLY modded and for u to have fallen back one car and ended up pulling him through 3rd its just hard to believe...not sayin it DIDNT happen but myself and the fellas just cant see it ....

The Cobra I just picked up has a Bassani Catback and K&N Filter and put down 404 rwhp...Most dyno 350-360 stock from what Ive read, of course some stronger.

Mine put down 386rwhp. That's a little higher than normal.

I agree with you. It's a little odd, but who knows. I've seen stranger
**** happen. The part that is a little iffy is that the Cobra pulled
him out of the hole and he was still able to catch up. I'd buy it 100% if
it were the other way around...he pulls the Cobra out of the hole and the
Cobra couldn't catch up.

404 is higher than normal? Lol, I hope so I actually have about 3-4 dyno sheets it dyno'd at 370 stock I believe.
