Gentleman's Apology I am aware that this thread will be locked or deleted very soon after posting it, but that's okay. I considered making it a PM to Unit but I figured everyone should be able to see it. Recently, there was a heated discussion on this board in which an individual made a threat of physical violence against another user. After reading ten pages of this discussion, I was so incensed and angry at this individual that I actually responded with a threat of my own in kind, after which Unit locked the thread. (this individual has since sent me a PM which I have not read and have no intention of reading) After some reflection, I am greatly ashamed at the infantile nature of my behavior. Unlike, I suspect, the person who made the initial threat, I am a married adult, and so I most definitively should have known better. As a matter of fact, as a Christian, a martial artist and as a married adult, I am appalled at my own lack of emotional self control, especially on Easter Sunday of all days. So, to Unit, to the individual whom I threatened, and to every user who read my asinine post, I offer my sincerest apologies.
I am genuinely surprised I was not banned as a result of my post, but I may as well have been, because I am far too embarrassed to post on this site any further because of my juvenile response. Again, my deepest apologies.

Ah pffft, man, everybody screws up. You said something (typed) and it was uncool. But we all do that, I bet we all THINK uncool things a lot more. The point is, its not like you DID it. If we were all punished for our thoughts or words EVERY ONE OF US would be in strapped into ol'sparky. Takes nuts to apologize, I didnt read the thread, but it seems after this post that we would be losing a valuable member of our society for you to NOT continue frequenting out sight. If someone doesnt like it, tough, show me perfection and i'll show you smoke and mirrors

yeah its OK, at least you acknowledged your mishap and feel sorry for it. Its just not worth to threaten people and stoop to their level. Glad your still around.

As Stanger88 pointed out, we all screw up...lord knows I have.
For the record, any PM's threatening physical violence should be forwarded
to me immediatley. A perma-ban will be issued as needed.

Very cool! Like stanger and Unit said, takes ***** to publicly apologize. EVERYONE screws up at sometime or another. whatever you do, don't not post. We need someone with the ***** you have around here, lord knows there are plenty of computer warriors aboard this site.

You indeed are a man of respect. You have my support for your appology, especially after an infintile moron made a violent threat that started the jibbrish!
Your self control isn't to blame.....it's just self control.
But your respect for yourself and others to make a public appology is of a hero's status.

oh, we all get mad at times and sometimes things come out before we think.
It's pretty common and sadly, it's human.
But to step up and to accept your booboo in public is extremely hard to do. You can't get any more human than that.
Enjoy your day. And keep posting, it's good to see respectable people on this site. It doesn't happen often and you certainly have mine.
