lost to a cobra :( well, i went out with my buddy and his 2 other cobra buddies tonight. so, 3 cobras vs 1 ta lol. guess 2 are pretty stock and the one guy has some mods putting down 505 rwhp. hes talking some smacktalk....mentions we should run them. i said sure ill run for fun since i make about 100 hp less lol. of course they have to put me against the fastest guy of the group lol.
we do 2 races. 1 from a slow roll. pretty even take off- he puts a good car or so on me to about 90. he says you wanna go again, i say ok. we go from a stop this time. we roll into it and he puts a good half a car on me till about 80.
we pull over and starts the **** talking again lol. i say is that all you got outa that car. he goes, whati beat you, dont you remember. lol.
personally i was expecting a bigger hurt than a car length to 90. prolly woulda been 2 in the quarter if we ran over 110. he was cool about it and i really didnt care because i have way less hp lol. blamed the close race on wheel hop
nevermind he was on nittos and i was on a true 16" street radial, gas from 2005, 100% factory stock suspension and 2.73 gear
traction is non existent under 50 mph. oh well, you win some you lose some

give me a decent pair of heads (afr <drool>) and some stickies and it woulda been a different race im sure. its quick enough to beat some cars 
most people dont know how to drive though so im pretty safe.
raced a 900 kawasaki today too. got my *** hurt on that one. no traction under 50

. said i had a fast *** car though i get picked on by the few terminators around here, ive managed to beat one, by like maybe 2 inches lol, but he was the one that said i won so ill take it, the other two murdered me, one is a 2.4 KB, and the other is just insanly modded
haha yeah those dam cobras are something else, I raced one before winter, we were pretty close from a dead start soon as he hit third,

i wasnt to suprise thugh if u read my sig youll understand. Now for this year he has tune,magnaflow exh,k&n,and a pulley. i think that puts him right around 500 hp so no more racing him. lol

turbo is required to hit 500rwhp. The difference between a ported eaton car
and a stock eaton car is huge, even though it's only 40rwhp.

Nice runs. There's no shame in losing. It just makes you want to modify
your car further.
I'm sure he did have traction issues if he makes 500rwhp and he's only
on Nittos...especially if he's still running the IRS. While that's legit, it's
still only an excuse. Run what ya brung.

well, he claims 500 rwhp. says he did it on a ported blower and some other boltons. not sure what he had done. maybe he didnt have 500 if it takes nitrous to hit it? what does pulley, ported blower, full exhaust get you?

either.He has ran a best of 11.79, thats a good time for the amount of mods and the fact that he doesnt even have the 2.85 pulley.
I also witnessed a bolton ported stock blower 03 put down 494 on a dynojet

It's just like the ET example I gave. 500rwhp can = 128mph or 121mph traps.
It's dependent upon the setup (clutch, tires, etc) and the driver.
For reference, I went 123mph with 460rwhp. 600rwhp is good for about 130mph.
