You shouldn't be surprised you walked him that hard on top. Like was said earlier, a CBR900RR from that era was capable of decent times at the track, but they really ran out of steam after 130. They were capable of a bit over 160 in stock form when the stars were aligned and all that stuff and after 130-140 the party was pretty much over. They were barn doors aerodynamically and made probably 108-112 to the tire. Strong for their time, but mostly a match for most current 600s. 600s aren't a joke at all though and if properly ridden can hold a strong car off til probably 140, but after that, they just don't have the ***** to push through the air. Consider that effect doubled if the rider doesn't have a proper tuck. Good kill BTW! He most likely wouldn't have been a problem for your car even with a pro on it.
