I am right about to buy my 02' ws6 and I allready have my nitrous system ( pro nitrous) ready to install. I am most likely going to spray a 100 or 125 shot. Besides running the spray, what else would I need to run down an '03 cobra that ran and 11.8 w/ a 1.7 60' at the track? I was thinking the following and let me know if it would do the job good enough. ( Keep in mind that I kinda wanna destroy him by a couple of cars). The total mods would be the following: 125 pro nitrous shot, cams, 410 gears, intake, exhaust, true slicks for the track, racing chip, and maybe lower the car and put a tight suspension on it. Do you think this would do it? Thanks

All ya need is a 150 shot and thats it if he can only run an 11.8. You need to do some more LS1 Education courses here, lol. Our cars dont have chips, you would have to tune the car with the right software.

Yeah you should read up a bit more on here before you go knee deep into this, but that setup would have no problem taking out a cobra running 11.8s. Also the LS1 engine is single cam, and will need professional or self tuning from a program for those mods to work properly. The most important elment is driver skill as well so learn to drive, get traction, and don't break anything and you should be fine

Might wanna add a 12bolt with all that. Dont want your car breaking when your trying to show off. Oh and spraying, Might wanna look into some heads since you would be doing the cam.

Oh ok thanks. Do you really think that with just tires and a 150 shot I could show him whats up? I havent really done that much research so i diddnt know they u cant chip these cars. I guess ill do the nitrous and tires with intake and exhaust first and that should make his look like an ***....Il ldo the cam work and the head later on when I get the money. what does a new head run with a nice cam?

**** with just exhaust and the nitrous you can easily take out an 11.8 second car with a good launch and some traction. Just run him from a roll and destroy him, then you dont even need sticky tires or have to worry bout breaking the rear.

Would I really risk snapping the rear end if I had a 150 shot with intake and exhaust and radials? I can launch at lower rpm's and once i get the launch then I will use the nitrous. I will not spray off the line.. what do u think?

If you hook hard there is a chance you can blow the 10 bolt the are not very durable after 400+ at the wheels.

Im sure a good driver could do it with 100 shot with boltons and traction. A buddy of mine w/ a 2002 SS M6 3:73's and 100 shot ran 12.40 @114......Thats with a 2.1 60ft. Good luck. 11.80's shouldnt be that difficult.

..but you could probably do it on a budget with spray, and tires alone. If you want to put some serious tires on the car, 12 bolt.

oh ok... I am an amateur with this I mean, I am just getting the car this friday. What is a 12 bolt? Are you talking about the rear end or what? Thanks. Also, how will a 12 bolt hold up?... Would cams, 150 shot, exhaust, intake, tuning, slicks, and 410's yield a 10 second car?... or would i still be in the 11's?

and yes, i would need a fuel pump for sure, also, if i ran slicks with a 10 bolt and a 150 shot dumping it at about 3 grand... would i snap something?... i know from a roll it would be fine.... i would own that cobra from a roll w/ these mods

CAM not cams. Stiffer suspension will not provide a better 1/4 time because it will not provide weight transfer. You want weight transfer so that you will have better traction. Cam, 150 shot, exhaust, intake, tuning, slicks and 4.10s would give youa 10 second car with a good driver but you do not really need an intake because you already have an ls6 intake with an 02....but you will want an air lid. 12 bolt would hold up to the mods listed above but i would suggest a 9 inch if your tranny is an m6

lol thanks guys. Are any of you from around florida? I want to make this a really nice car when i get it. If I had intake, exhaust, 150 shot, 12 bolt, slicks, tuned, 410 gears, and a cam in it, would it torque off the ground... I'm not really into that
