Modded 03 Cobra vs 02 Z06
Well I got all my stuff done to my Cobra and figured I would pull our Z06 well think again. The Cobra has a Bassani Catback, K&N FIPK, 2.8 upper, 4# lower, SCT Tune, Idlers, plugs. The Vette has a Catback exhaust and ziptie mod (that we know of) the car was bought used so who knows if it has a mild cam. This was done from a 2nd gear roll and after she got up a bit (racing my wife) I let off. I know im maxing out my MAF, we hooked up the SCT tuner and confirmed it so im not making power after 5200 rpm. Also the combo of upper and lower might be causing to much heat for the blower which will rob me of power, so im switching to a 2# lower later this week.
Sorry about the vid it was off our phone and out in the country so it was pretty dark, but just keep watching

yea, i'm waiting for that feeling. you don't have much money when you're 19...
on the bright side, what other 19 year olds have a 2001 formy with 25k miles that they paid for with 100% of their own money
i guess it's not all bad, and i ain't no rich kid that had mommy and daddy buy them a beamer

Thats nuts to be playing with boost without a good tune, esp with a 2.8 and 4# lower with no H.E.
Comment about only running 10psi on a stock eaton with a 2.8... I register 13-14#'s on my 2.75 upper with stock lower.. pulls like a ****
I have a buddy I work with that puts down 402rwhp and 386rwtq in a 01 z06 and can pull him about 1.5 cars from 40 till about 140....

so because of heatsoak created by inefficiencies in the blower when overspinning it.
Get a HE and have Steggy port the blower. For $800, you'll have a totally
different car.

Steggy stage 4 port with throttle body and inlet are next on my list.. Then I'm going with a 2.93 upper and 4# lower.

Haha Thanks guys..And BTW were not rich we both work very hard for what we have. As for my 4# lower the reason we had installed it was because I plan on getting the ported blower very soon, but then I started reading that its still not good even with the ported blower. Im going to swap it out for a 2# lower this week. If all goes as planned, I should have a Steg Stg 4 ported blower, KB BAP, SCT MAF, 60# injectors done within the next few weeks, so we'll see. Oh she also raced a 2.8 upper, Stg 4 port and SCT Tuned Cobra and could pull him too. In 3rd gear he would close the gap and make it about even but once they went to 4th she would start to pull away. That car is pretty quick.

Wow, looks like the Cobra got smoked pretty good there.
I for one like the 03-04 Cobra's and am thinking about buying one.
ITs between that and an 02 SS SLP.
I have a Video of a Stock 01 Z06 385 FWHP Vs a 03 Cobra, with a Bassani X Pipe, Exhaust and Cai.
The Cobra is faster by a hair.
I'll tell you what, those cars are growing on me,
I've always hated ford, and I dont like the "new" Stangs, but those 03-04 Cobra's really hit the spot.
