Old story but figured I'd share. Coming home from Daytona one night and I spot a yellow GTO That Ive heard about going the opposite way. Im about to turn around when a 04 Cobra pulls up next to me as we are going over a long bridge. Hes all ready to go because he starts beeping lol. So we hit it going up the brigde and we end up being dead even. We both get the light and we start talking and im telling him about how bad *** this GTO is I hear about when what do ya know he pulls up behind us. We cruise for a couple miles when I get next to the gto at another light and im talking to him to find out what he has done, TR224 cam, LT, Exhaust all your basic bolt ons but no heads. Hes putting down 370hp 380tqe. Well we get down a bit further to where its 3 lanes and we get a good light with pretty much no one in sight(right in front of Daytona Speedway hehe) Light goes green and they both dead hook but I spin for a second drag radials hook and I go by them with ease. Im out a nose before in second. I pull a good car and a half out on the gto and the 04 Cobra . Cobra is a nose out on the GTO. Remind you I have 2 other people in my car and they are alone in theres. I shut it down at the end of 3rd. GTO turns off and Cobra follows me for some rolling fun. We race a good three times from a 55 roll with me pulling out on him each time. So far these are my best kill so I figured I share.

Thats it performance wise, I was also on a bad clutch that wont even grab second.

This one doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but whatever.

OK, They came out of the whole slower than me so they got traction unlike me launching higher and then hooking.

So, the GTO has about 45-50 more rwhp then you and you are rolling 3 deep and you outran him and the 04 Cobra. Anything can happen on the street so nice runs!

I think I know who owned that GTO. Did it have side exit exhaust and real nice CCW wheels?
