Its not a drivers race. Look at the video, you can clearly see the 350 is faster.

These are two stock cars, running to over 120. Not even close.
looks like the camaro won then let off and hit the brakes in the first vid no way the 350 pulled that much on top, on the lt1. the second vid didnt even look like a race.. the only advantage the z has is lightweight and good offline accel.. i drove my sisters 350z across country it doenst pull for **** after i hit 90mph, as where a lt1 i test drove pulled almost as hard as my ls1 did when i first test drove it.. and my ls1 pulls harder at 150mph then a stock 350z does at 90mph.( you can tell by how fast it gains another 10mph) . idk id think some lt1's would give the 350z's a good run or even win. even though i raced a f4(4th gen f body) z28 in colorado with my sisters 350z the guy was a total dipshit he had atleast, 20's on the car(hinders the performance alot) , all visual **** (neons big wing etc) that only hurt performance, and i barley beat him.only won by a car, car and a half. from a 25-70mph roll.

I ran a 350Z in my 95 LT1 A4 with 2.73's. He jumped me in my dead zone 40mph and was 3 cars on me before i got downshifted and goin. By 90 when we let off I was about to eat his bumper. He had a passenger though. I think he was A5. Still, I was CLEARLY faster. Then again, my LT1 was said to be a freak by my friends. One had a mustang 5.0 that he said ran 14.0's I pulled him.

1993 LT1 Camaro. Slowest year, 275HP: http://www.fastcoolcars.com/z28_vs_gt.htm

And the 350Z with multiple sources: http://www.freshalloy.com/site/cars/...nce/home.shtml

Drivers race...'Nuff Said

Empirical data>streetfire video, get it?

Edit: More: http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html

Best I've seen is in the 13's for both...with 10 years better tire technology and track/driver diff's it is...guess now? A drivers race. Imagine that, a 287 or 300hp car vs a 275 or 285hp car...who'd have thought

Stock numbers dont mean ****. Take for instance the new Z06 vs GT. Clearly the GT is rated at 550hp as 500 for the vette. But yet the Z06 walks it everytime.

Why argue when I post of vids of the two stock cars. Imagine a car with more hp and 300lbs lighter being faster. Damn never would have thunk it

Lmao, the Ford GT makes over 550 rwhp and runs the 1/4 in the 10's THe new Vette cant touch that. 10.80's is what they got in the magazines on BFG 315 DR's.

Hmm...stock numbers don't mean ****, yet you are making an issue of the Nissan having more claimed HP and being 300lbs lighter...contradiction no?

In any event the numbers don't lie, the cars are within a tenth in any direction(see, I never claimed one was faster than the other, but you are such a massive fanboy you can't debate/argue from a reasonable perspective), so I stand by the conventional wisdom: Drivers race.

Lastly, I'd like to point out that peak claimed HP/weight arguments ignore MORE important factors like gearing, power over the curve, drivetrain losses, etc.

I don't want to continue to argue this, I don't have a horse in this race, I however would not be so bold(foolish?) to claim a car that is within a tenth of another car is "faster" based on a single video off streetfire. Far too much evidence to the contrary to worry over such an example...for all we know that was '93 LT1 with 130K miles, 2.73 rear and a automatic...see?

Drivers race....and 25psi please spare me and the rest of us your typical "**********", "dumbass", etc insults and silly smilies. Just post relevant data and try to forget you have a 350Z in your garage. Thanks, all us dumb bench racers.

Post relevant data such as a video? I'm to tired to argue with you right now, I'll save it for tomorrow.

Who ****** cares? I didn't post this to start a gay war between some of you. I wouldn't really care what kind of car it was, it was a good race and I won.

I know your right and all. But there's a video on the new of a new Z06 with an intake and a tune that ****'s all over a Ford GT on several runs. It's crazy but that new Z06 is an animal.

ok update just got done with the races.... we did it twice.... 1st race dead stop ..... he honked and like i said i gave him the jump by about a 1 sec and my launch was ok anyway by the time i got going he had about a car by the end of 1st his front bumper was at my door by the end of second he was 2 cars back and i let off..... 2nd race 45 race.... i honk let him go get about a car i hammer down by the end of second im pulling by him get into 3rd get about 3 cars on him halfway through and let off..... conclusions..... either my car has turned into a freak in the rebuild with the mods i have now or our 350z is slow or a combo of both.... IMO its a drivers race stock for stock cause when i raced him when i was stock it was close but i ended up with a win by about a car.....

I raced a 350 Z last year at the track. It was my first time at the track and my Z was completely stock. The Z had some sort of exhaust and thats all I know of. The run numbers looked like this.

ME HIM
60' 2.3 2.2
1/8 9.32 9.31
1000' 11.994 11.997
1/4 14.309 14.305
MPH 98.86 99.99

Looks to me like I was catching him after a shitty launch. Like stated numerous times it is a drivers race and I would give the edge to the LT1 if it is in good shape like mine is. Also his car had been sitting for awhile and I only took a few mins off between passes. My best of the day was a 14.1 @100.6 with a crappy 2.27 60'
