Ran a KB mach 1 on way home from track...
Well I went to HRP tonight and did't do that great, ended up with a 12.36@116 with a 2.024 60ft, weighted in at 3625 with me in it. Everybody was running slow due to the hot nasty air but I didn't care, just wanted an idea of what she would do, with some better driving and some winter air I have no dount I can do some high 11's@118-119.
But anyhow, on the way back there was these two guys together, one was in a C5 with black C6 wheels and the other was in a red Mach with black bullits. I had seen them running that night and noticed the Mach had a roots blower of some kind, he had also removed the shaker in order to fit the blower. He didnt choose to show his times so I didt know what he was running, but it looked to run ok, beat his buds C5 a few times.
I see them on the way out jumping on I10 so I decide to follow them, we lined up at about 45 and I hoked 3 times, he knew what to do and we took of, this seemed to be his best spot as he hung in there till I hit 4th and started moving out on him, by 125 I was 2 cars up and shut down, the blower whine was pretty loud but it didnt seem to help him this time. We did a few 65-70 rolls and he got beat pretty bad, I mean 3-4 cars and shuting down short because there was no point to keep going. I thought for a boosted mach it would have done alot better then that but oh well. maybe it was a 1.7L on 6 pounds or some ****?

Pretty much every power added 4v I have seen puts out 450 or more. I think you don't know jack about stangs and it was really just a blown gt, lol.
I haven't ran anyone in a while and would be cool if we could get some cars together on your side of town for some daytime filming.

If it was a Mach1 he wouldn't have to remove the shaker to put the KB on it, I don't know why he would do that. But like was stated a KB Mach is going to put down around 450rwhp on low boost. Even with the 1.7L. I have only seen one KB mach and he was trapping 121mph in the 1/4.. He wasn't running all that great of an ET but he did trap pretty good. I think he was running mid 11's on drag radials easing out of the hole. With your 116mph trap speed I don't see you pulling a KB Mach, something just doesn't sound right to me.

Lol, I was just jacking with you(thoug I don't understand how a blown mach could be so slow). As many times as we've talked I'd hope my memory isn't that bad. I quit smoking long ago PM me if you guys get some cars together.

It was a red auto mach 1, it had some sort of roots blower ( I assumed KB). The shaker was removed. It had all the mach 1 appearance stuff, badges, hood, wing, side stripes, chin spoiler. In fact there was like 6-7 people in the Texas section that most likely saw it in person, go ask them. I guess it could have been some GT that made a 100% mach 1 clone and threw a KB on it, but like I said I am posotive it was a Mach.
Actually I found a pic of him and his buddy over at HPD...

I don't doubt that is was a Mach, but I don't think something was running right on it if you were pulling him and you were only trapping 116mph that same day at the track. That looks like crap with out the shaker sticking out of the hood. He needs to bolt the shaker back up..

I have seen the car around. It has an Eaton on it, making 8lb of boost. He basically did a 03 cobra conversion on the motor except its the stock mach 1 block so can't take a lot of boost. Not sure on the times he runs, but since it has an Eaton, I am sure it's not that incredible especially in the summer heat when the engine is heat soaked.
Good kill, though!!

Good kill . I have to say man everyone calls bs or wants you to investigate becouse they think a car will do this or will do that and it makes atleast this much hp . I have seen some cars capable of running 11s and it is still stuck in the 12s becouse of sucky drivers or the setup is all wrong . You can have all the hp in the world but it wont drive you down the track.
