03 Cobra vs C6 and M3.
I have not had a race in a while now, so my lazy *** went out looking. Found 2 gay guys in an M3 with them revving the **** out of this car from a light. Wasnt even close, yet I was surprised how quick he got off the line. Then I ran across a NICE BLACK auto C6, mods unknown but just heard the exhaust a bit, maybe a Borla or Corsa. We went from a 40-50 roll and he had the auto so I waved him to get the jump, he did, then I put 4-5 cars from mid 2nd to mid 3rd. Cool guy, we gave each other thumbs up and I went home and fell asleep. This is for your entertainment, not LS1 bashing. I am dying for a new black C6 ZO6.

The new Z is a sweet ride. Performs better than it should for a 450rwhp car (in stock form). If I wanted a stick car...would have one in a hearbeat. Best bang for the buck! Headers and a cam and you got a 3000lb mid 500rwhp beast.

JayplaySS2, nice car man and nice kills. Your car vs a stock 06 C6 Z06 would be a good race. Over on Mustangforums, they have been having a discussion on a 516RWHP Cobra vs a Stock C6 Z06. The 1st time they ran the Z06 pulled like no other on the Cobra, but the Cobra had belt slipage due to coolant that was spraying out of the filler cap onto the belt. The guy with the Cobra got that fixed and they ran again. They went from 50-140 the 1st rime and Z06 put 1.5 cars on him and then they went 50-160 and Z06 put 2 cars on him. I would say with you wanting 540RWHP, you would be even with the new Z06.

Thanks for the info. It sounds about right, there is only so much you can do about the weight difference. I have removed about 200lbs out of the car with lightweight steeda springs, live rear, threw out a few items. The ZO6 is still the baddest car and NOW a S/C version! Damn ya gotta love Chevy and the new era of HP wars with $4-5 gas per gallon! Ill just race less, who cares.

JayplaySS2, if you give me a good enough price for your Cobra, I will gladly drive down there and relieve you of it. I have plans to keep my car for awhile, camming it this fall, and hopefully build a 402 for it. But I keep asking myself if I had the money to get an 03/04 Cobra if I would actually take the plunge. Did you have an f-body before the Cobra?
