I am going to say it would have to be damn close, considering we pretty much have the same everything. I guess this will be a fantasy race poll, since it will probably never happen with me in Michigan and Jaime in Florida.
I think Jaime would probably get me by a bit, if his coilovers are dialed in then he is going to have an awesome launch.

I will post my 1/4 mile times as soon as Dennis (whplash) and I get to the track when the temps are better for racing. Sorry, I am bored at work and the post idea came to me when I was reading my email from one of the members.

Well Doug..interesting post my friend. I've seen your video's,,,for sure your car is sick.

I honestly don't know my power out put yet. The dyno is looking possible for this weekend. My car has a base tune in it, that we congured up. It seems to work well. I won't give my exact mods list but, it is similar, except for a few different mods.

Now, what we all know, cause doug was kind enough to post some videos of him racing fadi's Z06. Very nice race. Although, I truly thought the outcome would have been different. I know dougs car is fast. 470 rwhp is sick in a vette. His weight, should be around the same as a Z06. HIs power level should be just over a stock C6 Z06. I really thought the outcome would have been different.

All that craziness said. My buddy down here, with a crazy RX7 with a V8 and a single turbo.....I don't know the power, I don't know the weight but its a 5.0 with heads, cam, intake, turbo...and it's a second gen RX7. Anyways, he's had the chance to race a C6 Z06 and was SIDE BY SIDE from a roll with the car all the way up to 160mph. Now, I , have not been lucky enough to race the new Z.....but I have raced my friends car(rx7). From a second gear roll....i'd say about 58mph-64mph...4700ish RPM ...... I hit it, and jump out 1 car on my frined, and hold him off the whole way. To me,...it sounds like it would be a close *** race. I do shift my heart out when I'm banging gears....which without a doubt helps. My coil-overs are nasty....but, I have NO track time with my current setup. However, the cars front chin spoiler is a MAXIMUM of 3/4 of an inch off the ground. SO, at speed, my car just might be a little sleeker,...as it's gotta little air traveling underneath her at speed. I am still sporting a factory stock, hundred thousand mile++ clutch as well which, at the end of hard driving, even after I raced my friends RX7, it sticks to the floor. I've gotta either grab it with my foot, or reach down to get it. Matter of fact, I missed two gears for the first time EVER in this car yesterday because of it.

So...Doug,...my friend,.... unless your gonna get your crazy *** down here anytime soon(that would be fun, we'd go to jail for sure)...we're gonna have to wait until I race a C6 Z06 to see. Hopefully, I'll have a video camera around. Which, i'm sure will happen.

In the meantime, i'll be sure to get some video of my car up asap for your listening pleasure(s).

For what its worth, anyone who questions Jaime's mad gear banging prowess, ask him how that shifters holding up in his car...Align--youd better be quick on that trigger. Seen way to many races won by less powerful cars that were powershifted vs. "not" powershifted.(Me and Jaime in a maggie'd V, whoopin on a way lighter, Vortec'd 5.0 being ***** shifted) I'll flag the ****** race though, lets do it!!

Just as soon as my bastardwhorefriends want to get picked up...and do some shooting. Or...if they could only post the **** THEY ALREADY have.

The only video I know of is one of me racing a Porsche GT2. Which got rocked. The video, which I saw on the camera that night, was taken from several cars back.

But it is more then audible.

This weekend...if it doesn't rain,...should be good.
