This is worse than Cobra myths, doesnt anyone here have an NSX to race any LS1 near them. I have a very hard time thinking an NSX will hang with stock C5 ZO6 power level. auto or not. Just doesnt add up to me. Im going to drive around this weekend until I find an NSX, then Im gonna call him all kinds of names and make him race. Ive seen the newest version ( I think ) in red locally.

You guys we have to consider that fact that the vette is an auto not an M6. Due to gearing its not going to be as fast on the freeway.

I don't mean slalom and skidpad. I mean like drving around curves. I have always heard they were tough to drive and when I got behind the wheel I was surprised how right they were. Sure with a pro driver they might handle well. But I can drive fairly well and it was hard to keep that car straight.

Sounds to me like the NSX was modded. Are you really positive that it is stock? A guy on another board has a video of him killing an NSX in a Cobalt SS w/ just a CAI. Either something is amiss with your car, or he is modded, and not telling you about it.

I've never raced an NSX though personally, so I can't say if they are fast or slow. I do know that nitrous really helps them out though (They run low 12's with a 100 shot at 115+ mph).

Well you know something is fishy when a 14 second Cobalt beats a NSX....

I can't believe I'm touching this thread, but someone has to call him on this:

That's 270 FLYwheel horsepower, not 270 REARwheel horsepower. Yes, I know they're factory underrated. Not by that much. The NSX motor is weak, and for a $90,000 car it's a goddam joke. It ought to be f***ing ashamed of itself.

Pffft. $90,000 for 270 hp.

Yeah, pretty damn sure.

I'm not a grammar ****, but you better make sure all your ducks are in a row before correcting someone else.

Redneck's huh? How about we're instead of where.
I thought you meant the apostrophe in we're , since that was the word in question at the time. Oh well, no harm done.

I dunno where some of you guys are getting your data from.... C5 Z06 would pull an nsx friggin hard.... esp from a dig, Ranger ran a 11.7 1/4 in a bone stock, down to the run flats C5 Z06.... And as far as vettes having a shitty hook.... my cai and catback only 99 FRC cut a 1.6 60ft in my first run in it ever in the 1/8
