say's its a auto and he beat it by two lengths. I have a cobalt ss/sc as well with slightly more mods and i'm trying to convince this fool the guy was screwing with him. i love my car but the other people who own them are tools.

Says you have to register, whcih I didn't. I'll take your summation and applaud you for not being a tool. Not sure what mods the guy has though, but unless he's running low 12s, no way he put 2 cars on even a bone stock C6 that was actually trying.

How long was the race and roll, dig, to what speed?

I saw a post on the prius forum where some prius guy said he could hang with a Viper on initial acceleration, so there are certified, delusional morons everywhere.

put it this way my car is a 2006 ss/sc i have a 2.5 inch pulley, pushing 22 pounds of boost hp tuning, motor mounts, and 60# injectors. My car is a mid 13 second car all day with traps between 104 to 107. His car has less mods than mine.

06 ss/sc vs. 06 c6

was running down a local road here, no traffic in sight. a 06 c6 auto ran up on my *** and passed me. so i take off after it. we come near a red light and we both slow down. im now at his side. light turned green and we are doing 50 mph. so i downshift into 2nd and squeel my tires and im off. we are even for about 2 seconds and then i start pulling on him. i shut down at 110mph and have a good 2 cars on him. so we go again, this time he just takes off. instantly he put a car on me. i downshift into 2nd again and i catch up dead even to him. around mid 3rd gear im doing 130mph and i have another 2 cars on him. we run one last time and same results. i was damn impressed with this f'ing lil car!! i couldnt believe what happened. a cobalt ss/sc beat a freaking 06 c6 auto 400hp vette. im still shocked. im sure it has happened to other people but this was my first good kill with my new mods...current mods include:

3" catless XTC downpipe
Airbox mod with K&N E-1009 filter
Poly engine mount
60lb. injectors
2.6" pulley
stage 2 belt
HP Tuners tune
1 step NGK colder plugs
Weapon R engine damper


unbelievable! and i dont care if any of you call BS....i beat a c6 400hp vette!

Seems like the Cobalt SS is going to turn into the SRT-4. Stupid ******* kids thinking they can beat anything in the world. BTW, dont give me this "srt-4's CAN be quick" because I can be "QUICKER".

Although, 13s in your car is pretty sweet with 106 traps.

I definitely like the SC Cobalts alot, but it's funny to see someone who apparently doesn't know his car's limits, lol. BTW, ls1wannabe, very good numbers! What does your car make to the wheels?

yeah more tuning, meth injection, bigger heat exchanger, and maybe a lil port job to the s/c would of been a lil more believeable.

Im not gonna call BS. Anything is possible, especially on the street. Ive been to the track and seen some Auto C6's run best times of 13.5's- 13.7's@102-105. These are bone stock cars that still have torque management. It seems like GM let some C6's out with no TM and some with a bunch.

If your buddy with the Cobalt runs close to what you run, maybe he was telling the truth?

stage 2 belt comes with the gm stage pacage because you either want a smaller belt or bigger tensioner when running a smaller pulley or both. The engine dampner is for wheel hop becuase this car is horrible to launch.

he reposted said it was the end of third i say bs i have a 7100 rpm limiter and im at 112 to 114 at the top. He has a 7400 rpm limit which is stupid and he will destroy his valvetrain but i don't think u can gain 15mph from 300 rpm's.
