Default 05 Roush vs. 00 SS Camaro

So im pulling off of the loop onto the Andrews hwy. (out of Odessa Tx.) and see a really loud new mustang fly by. I catch up and give him an earful of open headers as i go by at WOT. I also notice that its got a nice body kit its lowered and has rims and a roush decal on the rear windsheild. Anyway, he dropps it in gear and catches up and when he gets in view i tell him lets slow to a 50 roll. After that i gave the signal to go on the 3rd honk. 1,2,bam we both hit it at the exact same time and he immideately pulls me a car and a half or so. Then he does the 3,4 shift as i was at about 5,000 Rpm in 3rd. i made the 3,4 shift just as i was passing him and when he was at my rear quarter panel he got out of it in dissapointment. I slow down and give him the thumbs up and he waves back. I ended up following him all the way to Andrews where we pulled over and bullshitted for a half hour or so. He went on to tell me that he had full length headers, X pipe, dynomax mufflers (sounded awesome) throttle body, spacer, and a 4:10 rearend (had 3:55's stock he said), which would explain such a mean jump in the start and such a dramatic dropoff in the topend. It was a real roush without question because he went as far as showing me the build sticker inside the door. I couldn't believe it. He seemed pretty pissed to find i spent about $17grand after mods and all. As if that didnt make for a good enough day, later on that night me and my boy pull up next to a BMW Z3 with the top down and a fine *** chick in the passenger seat. The guy driving looked over at us and rolled his eyes so my friend says "smoke em". Light turns green and we leave him in the dust with Sean hanging out the side waving bye. I even hit the brakes and let him catch up (he was at WOT) and left him again. We pull up at the next light and both him and his girl wave and he had an embarassed smile like DAMN! We waved back and went on to get trashed at Apelbees where i shoot it with a dude that has a really rare 89 or so Porsche speedster. Even later me and some random guy with a 97 firehawk stop and talk for at least an hour. By the time i got home it was 2 in the morning and the SS had racked up some $60,000 worth of *** whoopin. Best part is that on friday i bought a rare 99 metallic blue trans am for a daily driver ($9,000-114k miles) so the SS is now a garage queen and i got 2 LS1's. Sorry about the novel but this weekend had been one of the best on record for me and my babies so i had to fill all you guys in.

Well, with 2 LS1's now, I'm sure you'll have plenty more stories to come.

My friend had an 05 roush, stock 5 speed, i guess its the stage 2? Its the same as the GT but with the roush package. Anyways, i rode in it and wasnt even that fast. I was pretty disapointed in it, still a high 13 sec car but i guess i just expected more out of it. But it was a really nice car, the bodykits on them are nice and the inside is full of carbon fiber trim pieces.

...Nice kills btw

Funny that this story should come up. I was at Wal-Mart today waiting on my girl to finish up shopping. I was in the Magazine section and I noticed the new Mustle Mustang and Fast Ford had a shoot-out between the new '06 Roush Stage3 and a C6. The best they could get out of the stage3 was about 12.9....That's pretty fast, but I expected a little more than that to be honest.
A full bolt-on LS1 with gears should really have no problem with one.

BTW I believe the C6 got about a 12.5 best run. This was Evan Smith driving.

Also, Good Kills....Gotta love nights like those
