Me vs 00 Z28 and 04 vert COBRA

Me vs 00 Z28 and 04 vert COBRA So I went to Daly City last night around 9:30-10:00PM to meet with some friends. I ran this kid in the 04 vert cobra before and I took him. Well I ran his cobra again last night. Its on vid, but he has it. We went from a 15mph roll and go on 3 honks. It was DEAD EVEN all the way up to 4th and he pulled about 3/4 a car on me. I was proud of my SS. He has Bassani exhaust and an intake. So after that I ran this guy in his 00 Z28 at about 15-25 MPH and when we both hit it I lose a little traction and he's already 1 full car on me. I smash it into 2nd and I get really sideways. Throughout the whole race he had a car on me and he only had a LID, but I didn't see under the hood. That Z28 was pretty damn fast!! He also raced the cobra and beat the cobra. I might go run all of them again this weekend.

good runs. 03-04 cobra verts tend to be not that quick compared to hardtops. i suppose its the weight difference and suspension due to no roof.
i believe the street racing director stated that a 400whp cobra vert its as quick as a 350whp fbody.
dont get too excited though .. wait till he throws a pulley on that eaton

Ok I have a friend who was there when I raced and he says his 95 Z28 with LT's and a intake can take me from a 1st gear roll and 2nd gear. What do you guys think? He wants to race me for $100 so should I do it? I'm a pretty decent driver

Damn AJ!! im sick of you getting all these races. Good run with the cobra. the Z28 has to have more than a lid. Right before i moved down here i raced a Ls1 Z28 from a 1st gear roll and i put a nose on him until 4th gear when we had to slow down. But he had a lid, LT's and a catback. He was also a decent driver.
Oh yeah race that LT1 you should get him! When that $100 and put it in you cobra fund

I know he had a lid LT's and catback so he should have more power than me. (He could of had more but thats all i know for sure) But what can i say i was shifting good and my car runs strong.
