The ring IMHO rewards smooth transitions more than out right grip. Lots of odd little devilish off camber type situations from what I can see in vids. In that sort of enviroment the 350Z might have a bit less of a disadvantage than on a really well banked fast course. Put a Z51 and a 350 on a really nice surface with good banked turns for the msot part and the power to weight of the Vette will be much more noticeable.

Its a lot like how an FQ series Evo can seriously **** off an Exotic owner on a back road.

the Z has a lot of room for improvement with handling though if you were to put on some wider sticky tires which already come with the vette. Then again, maybe you can switch the vette's suspension to something better than leaf springs etc

 

Hey guys it's the owner of the 350z...Thanks for the nice comments....I was running 17lbs of boost due to a boost leak when running the viper..It was also 90+ degrees out witch isn't nice weather for a high hp turbo car..Anyways when I run my normal 23lbs of boost I trap 134+ I ran a c6z06 that had intake headers exhaust and tune and I pulled like I pulled on the viper...But ran I ran the z06 I was running my normal 23lbs boost...I love the new z06 and am hoping to get one unless I decide on the new GTR...I love all cars and have had all types..I learned to drive stick and RWD on a 98 SS and that car was a beast with just headers and intake...If anyone has any questions pm me..also the car is for sale for only 35K...

Well mine should be done here pretty shortly, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I'm hopeing for some mid 700's possibly low 8's if everything turns out correctly. The only thing that would be stopping me from making more is the stock sleeved block. But I havent heard of anyone having any issues with them. At the time I only wanted 650rwhp, but after riding in some 8-900rwhp supras, I caught the bug. Who did your motor build and install? What about tuning?

If a 550rwhp 350z yanks a C6 Z06 how in the hell do you figure a 700rwhp wont? Even if there are traction issues(which there wont), shouldn't be that hard to make up ground.

Im not saying its not possible, but in the other thread that kids 450rwhp 350Z was having trouble with 390hp (give or take) Fbodies, once which was running rich... and it lost to the LS1.
And they never even raced from a dig...
