hey 98z28mass thanks for the compliment. I do have a slp loudmouth on the car, just no headers or ory yet. Iam running a pretty small cam. Its a Thunder Racing 224 cam 114 lsa with 563/563. Made a huge difference through out the entire rpm band though. BTW I think ive seen your car before. Have you ever been over Dons house??

It just takes the right combonation, and a good tune.

Dont forget, depending on where you live that could also affect dyno numbers, IE Colorado, etc...
Torque and Horsepower are not the same thing.

Show me a H/C 346 that has made 465rwtq.

Nice a 224 is a perfect cam for idle quality and still makes great power, plus from your sig it puts down some sick numbers on the spray. I actually have never been to DOn's house but I when I had him do my installs he had my car from a saturday till a friday so he might have had it at his house at some point. I unfortunately sold the car because I never had any time to drive it working 60 hours a week in bosotn and the house im buying currently doesnt have a covered garage so it would have taken a beating during the winter so I decided to sell it but once I get all settled ill def have another F-body or vette as a toy.

Im sorry, I misread the initial post. I thought he meant that no heads/cam setup would make 465 rwhp, not rwtq.

Im sure it is possible, but you better have some Badass ******* heads and a cam thats not way too big.

Maybe if they could mate c5r heads to a stock 346 with smaller sized chambers it might happen

There are H/C 346's making lots of HP and Tq. But I don't think a mild H/C car could make that much TQ!

I think a high compression aggressive setup could though!!

Yeah even Don was surprised at what it put down for rwhp and rwtq. On a 125 shot I gained 132 rwhp and 198 rwtq. Not to shabby in my mind. At the track on my first pass it went 12.4, but it trapped 120. And that was with a shitty 2.1 60' time.

Im with you man...You can see the mods in my sig and i only put down 378/370...I could see with some LGM headers maybe getting 395 rwhp and 400 tourque at the best ( remeber i made the 378 rwhp with no cats and no mufflers so headers arent gonna give me a massive amount) but 390 rwhp and 395 rwt would be a better guess...

Then maybe with some AFR 205 heads a max of 430 rwhp and 430 rwt could be obtained....

I just dont see how people get these huge 400 rwhp plus dynos from such minimal mods...

My auto shop that dose primarily F bodys has had HUNDREDS of Fbodies dyno...Of all the dynos I looked through their were only 2 F bodys that made it past 400 rwhp NA..Most of the cammed plus bolt on cars were in the 345-365 rwhp range..

most of the H/C were in the 365-395 rwhp ...

Even the FI cars were between 420 and 460 rwhp....

Maybe the dynojet is not giving us all our power?????Or maybe people on the internet like to quote standard numbers that had no smoothing what so ever.
