That's the cleanest 350 Z I've ever seen. No one has ever come close to that, lol.

Try again, the car has a stock camshaft still... never had a valve cover off even. I know Mark & his car personally, he lives about 5 miles from me. I also know the LT1 owner, the car runs like *** at anything below 1200 psi of bottle pressure. The mail order tune in it is so pig rich it's not even funny. His a/f off the bottle is a disgusting 11.5:1 - 11.7:1

Either way props to everyone for some close races.

doesnt' answer anything for me. good run and all, nice car and all, faster time than i expected- but i vote run em back from a dig and post up some video's. IF you lose "i spun" is not a viable excuse also, since you ran 11.80 on i assume street tires. if you were on a dr/slick when you ran the time then bring that out and run em back.

just my 2 cents anyway.

no hate, just honest opinions. you got em from a roll so give him a chance from a dig.

25psi, let me ask you a question. You always post here trying to prove that 350Z's are cool/fast. Why would you post a video of a 330rwhp automatic Z28 beating a 430rwhp 350Z from a roll? Not only was the Z28 100rwhp short but it is much heavier, to me thats pathetic for the 350Z.

Hmm, We went 1 for 1 on HIS roll. Me banging my rev limiter on the first run. I also don't get why you think my car weighs nothing, with my setup I'm around 35-3600.

But if you must be so, I'll show you the outcome on MY roll. forget my peak HP, its not nothing new that the LS1 has great downlow TQ over mine, which on his roll he gets moving first, then I play catch up but we run out of road. Common sense.

55mph Roll, I pull a car and a half then shut down:

Video

You say hes doing "330rwhp" as if you own the car. I'm not here to put down anyone or make the Z look "cool" I respect mark's car and any LS1 for that matter. I just don't appreciate bold statements like "my car being pathetic."

Not to get off the topic but I don't think I've ever seen an LT1 win a race in a video.

Nice looking 350Z by the way.

Just like every 350z that tried to race my cammed camaro ...but on a serious note I give both you, bigbri, and the other fast 350z owners on this board props for modding the 350z engine as I cant imagine what it must take to make it as fast as you guys have your cars running...and thats not taking a shot at it as I own a 2005 G35x with pretty much the same 3.5 engine, but it feels so damn slow stock in comparison to my camaro. I really would like to trade my g35x in on a g35 coupe, I just wish they made the g35 coupe or the 350z in awd, then id be in heaven as I need awd in the northeast.

Well the 350z is about 300lbs lighter than the G35, so that alone would account for almot .3 seconds difference in a standing still race. When you say G35x, is that the sedan? If so, then where talking about a 5-600lb difference!

It doesnt take much at all to make them fast. You can get away with 12psi with a nice conservative tune, but wont take much more than that. People have ran stock motors up to 500rwhp without a problem, but others have blown them with 400rwhp. Its all in the tuneing. I drove mine around for about 15k miles without a problem and all I did was buy the turbokit. When I initially bought the kit, I didnt have an aftermarket exhaust plus I still retained the stock cats and I was still able to make 412rwhp at 7-8psi. There are other kits on the market that you can buy that are alot cheaper than what I paid for mine(8500). You can purchase the greddy kit for 5000 or go with a single for about 4500. The stock clutch will be able to hold 400rwhp without a problem depending on how you drive it. I used to beat the hell out of mine and it lasted 3 good months. So it total, you would have to spend about 7000 to have the cheapest turbokit plus installation. Of course you would have to spend money on guages but that inexpensive. To have a car that traps at 118 with stock exhaust and cats and 121 with exhaust at only 8-9psi, is well worth it IMHO. You can manage to beat 90-95% of the cars on the road

Where's that Vid in the Video's section where there's a group of guys, 4 with fbodies, 2 or 3 350Z's and a Vette'

2 of the LS1's are cam only, one or two are full bolt on's and both 350Z are packin Turbo's... one 8 psi, one around 10-12 psi.

These guys race from 0-150, or whatever it takes, there's several races and they all mix and match.
the only race that was close was a newer T/A with just bolt ons and a stall going at it with the 10 PSI Z, and the LS1 caught him and passed him.

Im going to search like hell for the vid but if any of you guys find it, or know what im talking about please post it up.
Im going to look for it until i find it.... but until I do... this should hold you over 25Psi (j/k)

Yea I have the g35x sedan with awd and I understand that it will be much heavier than the 350z, the 3.5 just feels very sluggish. I have driven 2 different 350z's, one stock one and one with a borla catback and popcharger, and it def move quicker than my g35x, but same thing it still felt sluggish. I can only imagien though what 8-9 psi would feel like though. Id love to get a g35 coupe or a 350z and toss a turbo kit on it but I need awd. I considered an evo mr and an sti but being 6'8 255 pounds i just looked and felt awkward driving a smallish turboed import. I hope nissa/infiniti sacks up and makes an awd 350z or an awd g35 coupe as i would buy one in a second.
