Because you don't have 400rwhp with tb and an intake, lol. And if both of you got out of the hole the same way with him having much more power, then he would easily walk you

I don't even **** with N/A 4.6L mustangs anymore. Pointless. I know what's going to happen. . .

They're going to get a great look at the rear end of my car and still spell it CamEro.

Im not trying to be an ******* man, just telling you what i know. An 03/04 cobra with a ported blower, bolt ons, and a pulley will go high 10's/low low low 11's. They really dont need that much suspension, an irs brace will do them alot of good. You may have beat him, but i he is either bullshitting you about his mods or cannot drive to save his life. what mods do you have? you said your pushing 400hp.

Its actually a 3v motor.

so what am i missing i always thought that the mach1 had a hood scoup that worked and some body differences. I am deff missing somthing huge here can any one fill me in?

The hood scoop is mostly to make it looks somewhat like an old mach 1. doesnt really give it that much hp. They have a 3v motor vs a shitty 2v with ( i think) better heads, different cams, car is lighter, and also comes with 3:55 gears. they make 305hp and are somewhat underrated. in good conditions with a good driver a 13.1-5 is very possible. The autos suck *** though. ford trannys FTL!!! lol

Mach 1's have the 4valve motor. They started using the 3v engine in the 05 gt's. From what I've read the 2v Gt's were making around 260hp. Yes, the Mach 1's were underrated from the factory making close to 330hp.
You are correct on the gears, cams, and heads. One of my friends had both the mach 1 and 03/04 Cobra. In stock condition they were within a tenth of each other in the 1/8. The Cobra starts to pull after that. Cobra's are heavier because of the iron block,supercharger, and IRS. Mach 1 has a solid rear axle making it easier to launch. Lot of blown IRS units out there from hard launches in the Cobra.

Wrong.

One of the best drivers I know took his IRS'd 03 Cobra with a ported blower, tune, pullied and spray'd to like 11.33 at 134 or something like that on 18" drag radials.

It takes more than a blower and pulley to run 10s. else everyone would be doing that.

You couldnt be more wrong. There are a number of Ported Eaton cars running 10's with traps from 125-127. YOur friend cant drive for crap, or he has 13 lbs of boost.

Ok, he did say that his belt was slipping and he may have been losing some boost but my car is no slouch, it went 12.70 on worn out drag radial at 112, with no tune and a 2.2 60'. At that speed I should be able to run a mid to low 12 with a decent 60'. I have intake, fuel rails, injectors, slp cold air intake, TB, slp lt headers no cat through 3 bullet racing mufflersto make it some what quite, BMR torque arm, lower control arms, and I dont have the video but we do have it on film. The guy in the cobra had a passenger taping. And i will not lie we raced 3 times. Once door to door the other 2 he got out on me by 1-1 1/2 cars becasue I spun. It was my first time luanching in the car because I had just bought it.

I wasnt even talking about your post, sh$t anything can happen street racing so your story is fine. WIth all things being equal though ANY car that would trap 122-127 vs another car that traps 112-115.....thats a pretty big difference. Maybe you guys didnt run far enough? Did you run to 120+ mph through 3rd gear?? Either way, I was just setting the record straight that there are more and more ported eaton cars running in the 10's, more with the latest ports.

What does your car run in the 1/4 that makes it so "Unbeatable"?

JayplaySS2 what color car do you have. I bought my car in FT. Lauterdale in march. It was at RM Motors on i think sunset blvd. I only ask because right after i bought it i cruised by the beach and a white mustang came up beside me and asked about my car.

Its the BAD color. Black. Bad b/c it sucks to keep fu%king clean....Damn that car must have been nice to come that far to get it. Good choice though.
